... i'm not gonna bother reading through the millions of posts saying that this bird might be sick. I think that he's a happy boy, but i think that he did not want to be picked up. So he was trying to gently show signs of his wants(not wanting to be picked up) but at the same time he was very happy and felt safe(puffing of his feathers) possibly wanted to be pet.....
Our little Kiwi doesnt like to come off the top of his cage most mornings for about 10 minutes. he latches his toes on and refuses to step up. We call him "gluestick" when he does this!!!
Haha! Love the HEE HEE dance. I enjoyed all your Quaker videos - I have two here at home, both rescues, both darlings.
My Quaker Petrie is ten years old now, and he does the HEE HEE dance while sitting on his favourite swing and ringing the bell below it. It's so amusing how he squats, grabs the bell, maintains his balance on the perch, gets puffy and pants all together.
LOL. The puffy part is strictly hormonal. This video is demonstrating what we call the "hee hee dance". That's where a quaker gets close to his favorite "significant other" and gets all puffy as a display of courtship, many times he "dances" around panting. Miracle is far from sick.
Thank your for the link to your site . . . I had to bookmark it for further reading, as it is an extensive site. Very impressive, thanks again and have fun with your sweet little Quakers!
Quaker birds are precious. We have had 7 and they are wonderful companions.

I have Amazons, so am not familiar with Quakers, but they are so cute, aren't they. That little guy loves his mommy! Nice video.
