i think he's just being a realist, dealing with religion practically. we as humans have the means to improve and deal with climate change and everything else scientifically and technologically if we put all our efforts into it.

As a Christian, I believe some of the things that evolution teaches (not the evolution from monkey to man) are very much in line with what the Bible says, especially regarding the order of creation, and the time in which evolution suggests the appearance of Earth, animals, humans. Animals that may have been unable 2 survive have died out, leaving alive others with abnormal or recessive trait differences that allow for survial. Like if all the races except 1 were affected by a fatal epidemic

A day for God is like a thousand years to us. When God created the world in 6 days, maybe he did...He can do anything. Also it is possible that the word "day" in the sense of creation, could have been used poetically to group the different stages in God's creation of the universe, day meaning season. When God created the moon and the sun and the animals and man, 24 hour days, maybe...but also it could be a "Day" spanning months, or years or whatever. Whatever the case, God is real
