I found you through lonlonjp's, holy shit I'm impressed I subscribed straight away, I think you are really going somewhere.
Can you give me some real basic advice on how you work out songs by ear? Its my main ultimate goal to be able to come up with my own arrangements and I don't really know where to start at the moment :( Hope I'm not asking for too much.
A trick that works for me is, starting with the tabs and learn the beginning. Than put the tabs away and try to go on without them. So you already know a few of the played notes and chords, witch makes it easier to figure out the rest.
Y thank you kindly sir! Yes, playing this song on the electric does sound weak haha, but I love playing the electric as well, you should try investing in an acoustic guitar, or a classical, I plan on getting one pretty soon.
Practice makes perfect. And one more thing.. Cut your thumb nail by a bit because when its that long it starts make a screeching sound when plucking a string because at certain angles it starts sliding against the string before breaking contact.
