  • body language

  • he is feeling her subtle body movement its not predictions any asshole can do it. even when you think about doing something u dont relize the subtle act of what your doing

  • FAKE its for old ladies and 8yo kids

  • Boooring.

    Faaake.

    Noobs with boobs.

  • I love how people believe this is real lol =P come on people

  • PAID ACTORS

  • I Would Fart

  • For the girl I thought: he saw she is right handed when she did hat off, he still had her cap on the hand, so she filled unnatural to mave her arm.

  • look how compact the crowd is, they could barly make any other movenment, as to how he thought of it... im not sure (rigged)

  • All the acts are put in other mind by darren. The ideas are directly implanted in other people mind. But there are obstacles like cloths, caps or plastics. Its easy to find out......At first two acts he took the hats from the ladies as at the final act the people who were in hats or caps unable to put hand on head at the first time.... See it carefully.

  • hahaha at 4:15 Brown was going to lean in for the kiss.. GAY! haha jk..

  • Hehehe, I know how the first girl feels like. You've got your day off or just a bad day, when you don't treat your hair good. Wanted to go for a shooping or whatever and then you meet Derren Brown on the street and suddenly the whole world sees your hair being messy. ;)

  • cool

  • Finally, Person 3: "Face [them] this time"

"Desperately trying to make them see what this movement is, say like (points to top of head.) in your mind, you're like.." (Both directs the motion to the top of the head and clarifies that it will be done with both upper limbs.) Derren also ghestures to the top of the head when telling the audiance to put there hands there, and no doubt Pete is in a perfectly suggestable state because of his focus and curiosity, and the suggestion sneaks in unnoticed.

  • Person 2: "Can you take your bag off, and your hat as well, that would be great." (sugests that the most important thing is to "have her arms free")

Saying don't change it actually suggests uncertainty and can make a person open to suggestion that will change it. "There is a lightness, here and here" (gestures towards elbows, not clear if he touches them, but imples that the arms will flap lightly)

  • It's not that hard.

Person 1: "I need you to think of that movement...but don't actually move." (Implies first motion of walking)

"So starting in the back of your head as it moves through you, immagine yourself making that movement...whatever you do, don't move."=be able to do while standing in the same place.). The camera pans downward to her leg, further sugesting that. Notice she says, "...from the back of my mind and bring it down through my body," He didn't say that, only hinted it.

  • If he was pressed up against the person or attentively observing them he could easily tell what the person would do. It's like how people know what people will put out next when playing rock paper scissors. You already think of what you're going to do next (lets say rock), so your fingers tense up before you're finished and you throw out a rock and your fist is less tense.

  • Isn't the illusion of free will magnificent? :)

  • Not as good as the stuff in the Mindreading Exposed ebook

  • How many people here would have written "Kick Derren in nutsack"?

  • Read about Neurolinguistic Programming and you'll understand a bit about he does this. It's not magic of any sort. Think of it as a sort of brainwashing. Subliminal messages in the words and actions he does.

  • chris angel will rape this guy

  • @XmojotronX

But he will first get the idea to do so from Derren.

  • fucking fraud

  • With Pete, I would guess that he's cuing the motion he wants by waving his arms over his head, and then moving them to his head (when he says " ... in your mind") and then reinforces this with the audience by having Pete stand with his fingers in his ears (which is obviously a bit of business, and not really meant to hide whatever it is he says to the crowd, which is clearly irrelevant fluff).

  • @murfleblurg No.

  • hes a british Chris Angel!

  • Wow, you people who keep saying it's fake, REALLY need to read up on what Darren actually does. He's subliminally putting those thoughts into their heads by means of anchoring. Anchoring is basically saying something to a person or making them do a similar action beforehand, then touching them on the shoulder like a friend would immediately after. It sets the thoughts he wants them to have in their head, think inception.

  • Are you sure, they all know each other????? and pracitced?

  • Pay 3 friends to come along to your street show and stand in the crowd. The rest is pretty self explanatory :)

  • Imagine if someone imagined themselfs wanking. LOL

  • Awh, I wanted him to explain this. I'm sure he did after. The video just doesn't show it.

  • Same handwriting from Derren and from that kid at 4:10...... wow?

  • this isn't so hard.

he asks them to imagine the movement, as they do that, their nerves fire a bit, he's good at reading the slight movements.

watch pro skiiers or other athletes visualizing before a run, you can see them twitch and shift balance as if they were really skiing.

now, this is still very cool and he's very perceptive, but it's not majic.

also, he gets extra points for explaining it to them.

    great video!!!

  • @stillnessinmovement your right, and we can all do it since (as from my understanding) there have been indications that mirror neurons might be responcible for this 'phenomena'. I don't know the details on them, but when you see someone preforming a movement they fire on you aswell as in that person. It's almost like their using telepathy but that's prolly something we superimpose on in due to lack of information about it. Techinally you can get better at something by watching others do it. cool

  • @Defhrone

    yup

    opening up the mind/body connection.

    it's the final frontier...

  • At 0:40 seconds, "starting in the back of your head, and as it moves through you" Well where will that end? Obviously at the feet, thus is the power of suggestion. For the final movement, placing hands on the head... The girl in the leather jacket, and brown boots is first to make any movement, all the other people followed off of her initial motion, because they we're looking in the direction of Derren they could all see her cept for the first girl because she was too far forward (peripherals).

  • people think this is fake. LOL. he even goes into detail into how this stuff is done. do research before you think it's fake.

the fact that ignorant people can't accept it's real shows how amazing he is at this.

  • This Video is like saying Criss Angle does real magic

  • @fortuenii this is not magic or any thing it is all a trick of the mind all persuasion...any one can do this if trained

  • This shit does exist but, this guy's obviously a fraud.

  • its fake.. fake fake fake stoogery. Im tired of people thinking he has some kind of super body language reading powers.

  • "Derren used phonetic ambiguity "Keep face that way" or "kick face that way", while make a anchor in her shoulders, but of course, before he picked up her in the group he gave others comands while he spoke , but this part the video was not shown.

About the hands in the head he gave the first comand at 0:10."put hand up head".And use the boy with hand in his ear for subliminar influence.

Look for the bmx trick ....

sorry for the Misspellings too i am from Brazil"

  • He put his fingers in his ears, which made him want to do something with the head area ??

I put one finger on my nose so i was quite close!

  • yup, subliminal messages. The tall chap didn't think that he was being suggested what to do while his ears were plugged, but Derren kept putting his hands up to his head, and probably did so more than what the editing shows. When he had to think of something to do, his subconscious was already pursuaded to put his hands on his head because he consciously thought Derren was talking specifically about something else

  • Maybe I'm just tired, but I'm falling asleep. O_O

  • This is in edinburgh!

  • The girl with the hat was too turned-on/fixated on Derren by the end to even care what was going on. ;)

  • fake and gay

  • @g0kuenuan watch this and convince me that he is a fake

    /watch?v=IOEKdaXIEHc&feature=related

  • I'm making the movement of me jerking off. But I'm actually jerking off.

  • For those who don't get it, he's using subliminal messages in each case. I'm not sure how he does the first two for sure, but if you notice on the last one, he keeps raising his hands near his head and everyone ends up doing it except the one dumbass chick who wasn't probably paying attention to him. But i know this, cuz that's his style, subliminal messages and shock hypnosis, among other psychological tricks.

  • wow...how

  • I seriously thought of raising my leg on the first one.

  • @TomTheAznKid same here , thats wierd

  • This isn't amazing. Why? Cause they're actors. Even criss uses actors

  • @Kkyyrruu Criss? as in Criss angel? are you seriously comparing him to Derren..?

  • @UerMom I was using a well known magician, or whatever you wanna call them, to make a point. FYI, they all, as in everyone who goes into this "feild", use actors incase you were wondering. It's a magicians "secet". Now don't get your undies in a bunch

  • @Kkyyrruu everyone knows Criss uses actors. Derren, meanwhile, using subliminal messages for his stunts.

  • @tylerbrainerd and yet in the beginning of criss angels shows it says they r NOT actors or actresses ahah bull shit -_- criss is a good ACTOR but his magic can b done by any one

derren is real and thats why i like this guy so much

  • The king of crap.

  • wow, its fake

  • hands up in the air, hat off, mind, hair is a mess, hat off, hair is a mess, first thing in ur head, imagine, points 2 his head, in ur mind, don't hear, fingers in ears (no listening - negative suggestion), we cant hear what Derren says - head references? then conscious/unconsiously.... its all power of suggestion. Reading body language & suggestions. 1st girl, he lines up with her, coaches her. 2nd girl, he suggests it frm audience. She does 1 of a few things you someone cld w/ their arms.

  • Whenever you imagine yourself doing a psysical movement, you make tiny tentions in your muscles. And he could feel that, because he was touching her, back to back.

    Easy. Peasy. Pie.

  • 4:01 is proof that baseball caps are adequate protection against Derren's mind control powers!

  • @TheCruel anykind of head covering actually

  • @ReadCommentBelow actually the observation

of the girls fail at 4:01 is almost unnoticeable so for me this trick is not fake

  • no shit i really thought raise right leg before she did it of course, so focking weird

im not fucking kidding holy crap, if you dont believe me kiss my grandma XD

  • @stefan708 ya cuz its subliminal , he used the word legs last in the sentence, so it infulenced her to go with it, same with the last one on the head " transmit it to the head" then they all though 'head' u can prob pull this mostly 70% of the time with subliminal thought process using words in ur last sentence.

  • HOW?

  • Rofl they should just do something random that they didn't plan to throw everyone off

  • there all hoes, he pays them to do things o.O

  • he gives in a movement, the person doesn't

he gives the movement by using his body language and the attention of people to give the id in, like he did in the part where he gave the red bike to somebody....

  • yawn shitty television

  • the "wizard of oz" is a VERY common subject in the CIA's MK ULTRA mind control projects so im wondering if tha girl was already under any sort of mind control...

  • 2:55 MAN VS FOOD!!!! lol

  • at 3:05 you can see he uses a lot of gestures with his hands up around the top of his head.

  • i wanna know what he told the crowd, and how to do it!!

  • :O irl mentalist

  • he just uses subliminals and embedded commands ... he did not predict anithing he just told them what to do by suggesting ... like when he said is to the girl is that all RIGHT ... he wanted the girl to do somthing with her right leg he just said it subliminaly ... by the way sorry for the Misspellings i am a russian :D

  • I'd think of a handstand. Try that in a whole group, idiots.

  • @Draiona what a fucking coincidence.

  • You can see with the third incident that he over emphasises movements in the arms such as at 2:45 and at around 3:08 his hands are always held near his head.

  • @xxxcurrymuncherxxx That's part of suggesting. Because he did that, sometimes the subject would do something similar to it (as in the last person's case) or do something different (like kick, in the case of the first subject). He suggested to not be the arms was by saying "move your arms, do whatever, it DOESN'T MATTER." For the last person, he said seek attention. If you wanted attention wave your hands around. Since he already did that, they want to put hands on head.

  • @latenight003 but how did the whole crowd get it? what did he tell them to do?

  • 4:00 - 4:02 Girl with cap and Wizard of Oz shirt FAIL (the first person chosen by Derren).

  • 4:00 - 4:02 Girl with Wizard of Oz shirt fail.

  • 0:44-0:50, camera man is talented ;)

  • Thinking about a movement activates the same part of the brain involved in making that movement. In fact, you inhibit your body's movement when you just think about it but the inhibition is not perfect so there are small movements that can be picked up by other people. There's something called mirror neurons, which activate when both when making a movement and observing a movement, that allows other people to mimic the person's tiny movement.

  • When he said do whatever feels right I actually put my right hand on my head...

  • Does everyone there have horrible teeth?

  • @BiohazardIXI its britain dude.. the answer to that question.. is almost everyone hahah

  • It's always the blond chicks that are clueless!

  • Does it have to do with the hat?

  • The last one, when putting his fingers on the ears, he's actualy pointing to his head (indicators pointing). The "not listen" part is just a cover up.

  • Okay...the 2nd girl doesn't even check if he was right. She just takes her stuff and goes back in to the crowd.

  • its all staged!!! dont believe it.....

  • Now don't Do any Movement, don't Give Me any Clue.

Lol had it been me I would have tought a backflip.

  • @GregTom2 but then you'd have to ''do'' a backflip ^__^

  • Ideomotor muscle movement. Read "Trick of the Mind" by Derren and he explains how it's done.

  • no fucking lie...after the 1st girl did her thing, i thought about flapping my arms like a chicken.

  • i felt forced to put up my middlefinger... to my screen was really weird.

  • @bulletjunk after reading your comment i felt like doing it to xD omg

  • "im my booty"

  • hmmmmm, he has that guy standing there with his fingers in his ears, hands touching his head for like a minute..............what do u guys think caused the last movement?

  • @derPianist64 Euro's my friend, lots and lots of euro's

  • 0:42 perverted camera man? ^^

  • @MyCool18 lol

  • All staged, like Criss Angel.

  • @spankula123 criss angel practices in the art of inception and deceiving, or "magic" it's an optical illusion formed to fool the human mind into thinking of something that they think that particular person would have never thought of which is usually the most often comitted act out of a study of X amount of people, now do you understand the art a little better

  • @spankula123 well i give up on you

  • breast cancer awareness :)

  • All of the audience is just a plain simple set-up

  • lol the last action was a set up

  • dis a subliminal ad 4 von dutch

  • bileen?!

  • The first trick:

    "Don't _move_"

    "as it _moves_ through you"

She then raises her leg to move forward.

He also touches her heels while standing back to back with her.

  • all of the selected people are in on it!

  • @Ceejayanthirium No they are not in on it. You have to study NLP and a form of "seduction" in order to understand and practice this. It is an extremely powerful technique, I have practiced this in night clubs and bars on very beautiful women a few years ago and it works like a charm - but you have to study it carefully for a couple of years first. This is pure Neuro Linguistic Programming with weasel phrases, anchoring and so on.

  • @robert4you ok cool

  • amazing!

  • I tried this women... failed epically

  • As fast as that last dude walked up infront of the others I actually had this weird feeling of putting my hands on or behind my head. Seriously xD

  • @gordonfreemannr2 u had one of waving my arms

  • Obviously, no thoughts were transferred. Mr, Brown only suggested to everyone along the way what to do.

  • the first girl with the hat FAILS at 4:01

    XD

  • @george00777123 she was still bewildered with her own experience.

  • Wow what a load of bullshit.

  • @Karadjordje2 y watch it ten??

  • How dare you insult the supreme ruler of the universe? Neah, I'm just joking. You probably are right.

  • I see the suggestion for the last one with Petey boy. Notice the motion Pete does when he plugs his ears.... you guys see that?

  • @TylerMontana Maybe... he's gay lol

  • Darren suggested to the guy to put his hands on his head while he was telling everyone how to figure out what the guy was going to do.

  • AWW, I wish we could've heard the secret of how to do this

  • any1 else think that he would be a so much fun when he is drunk?

  • 2:40 guy has a phone in the ear?

  • Wizard of Oz...

  • oh maan, this video rly sucks.. in this video, you can see in 90% of scenes tourist busses ! xD Amazing, so many visiter ;) hidden aaaaaaaaaaad

  • Nobody mentions that the blond chick isent bad looking?

  • He can obviously hear when his fingers are in his ears. they shouldve given him some Bose headphones. they work on airplanes

  • @bobbob2795 fuck that, they should have let of a neutron bomb explode next to his ears that'll stop the little prick from eavesdropping

  • that is exaclty what i would have done.

  • If these are actors, none of them ever got work again bc Ive never seen one of them since

  • @cheesebowls me 2 lol... i just got in my mind raise leg LOL

  • at 2:38 i thought that bus was going for pete lol

  • WHAT THE FUCK. I GUESSED IT BEFORE THE VIDEO SHOWED IT.

  • @cheesebowls that is because he suggested it to them.

  • I totally guessed it. Whenever Derren mentions a movement to the last guy, he raises his hands above or near his head. Also, the blond girl is persuaded by Darren's body language, and touches her head at 3:34.

  • LOL the blonde girl at 4:03 is the only one that put hands together. hahah

  • FAKE

  • AHHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHHAHAHA BLONDIEEEEE at 4:03

  • what the hell? i had the same movement XD

  • he really is brilliant!

  • hahaha the first girl that picked got it wrong

  • Derren Brown is a hack. It doesn't take much to fool the weak minded.

  • @needparalegal Hmhm. Like you'd neevverrrr be fooled. Kay.

  • @mekkabon I started heckling magicians from the age of 12. I am less of an asshole now, but its still pretty easy for me to spot a trick. Especially mind games like when Chris Angel makes leading suggestions which steer people to think of what he wants them to. I have never witnessed spoon bending but I trust the word of Michael Chrichton who has done it.

  • @mekkabon The biggest magicians now are the handlers of the Teaparty and Birthers who can pull the wool over millions of eyes. I even know some attorneys who believe Obama was born in Kenya. I am impressed when an objectively intelligent person is deluded, but of course there are plenty of Christians with PHDs.

  • @needparalegal It's not magic, it's hypnosis. He's staging it to seem like magic, but in reality he's programming everyone to do what he wants them to do. He's not reading minds, only programming them and telling others what he's already programmed them to do. That's what I get out of it anyway.

  • @Ripley747 No shit Sherlock? Thats what I just said. Perhaps you should work on your English comprehension?

  • @needparalegal Or perhaps I should learn via Orton-Gillingham rather than Phonics. Thanks for noticing and being sympathetic. I simply misunderstood you to say 1) he was a hack and 2) you've studied magician's techniques. My bad, sorry.

  • @Ripley747 I appologize for attacking you but as you can see from my involvement on this video that I am in an ugly conflict with most of the people here. I assumed you were joining the pack.

  • @Ripley747 In fact let me doubly appologize, this is not the video I am in an ugly battle over. That is a different Darren Brown video.

  • @needparalegal Apology accepted:) and thank you for that!

  • FUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUU

  • he would be the world's best dictator ever...

  • is this how the illuminati control the world?

  • He should be a football player and make the opponent jack off in-front of the spectators.

  • scary, i also visualised lifting my right leg the first time when he told the people to visualise something

  • i like her accent

  • what did he tell them!?!? I WANNA KNOW!

  • Its a shame the English are letting England be ruined.
