@Voumgou, in our "Africans" spiritual system of cultivation we do not fuck men, women and children we do not even use these words... Brother mind your words and let me remind you that imported ideologies, religions and revolutions are not the way to go... Be fine, we are not (AFRICANS) going backward. And I am taking yours words to the Goddess/God, right now. be blessed : )
don't be like these european and arabs states smh, we the fathers and mothers of thus sick earth, so its our duty to do things different... lead leaders or i can't roll wit the movement
@BalusaPatricia You are not serious sista, you are not serious never call your enemies to rescue you. Anyway keep marching, and may the lord "Cameron" or maybe the king of Belgium rescue you from Kabila (* with a military operation) , they too are upset by the Kabila government, but because of the SADC they cannot do anything but only help promoting a televised revolution.
@nayodiop You are SO negative.is EVERYONE our enemy for you to be saying by callig on everyone we are calling on our enemies? people care whether they be African or not, half of them just DON'T know what is happening in the first place, so we make videos like this to raise awareness and encourage EVERYONE regardless of race/continent to help in 1 way or another...We made this video and spoke with passion. Please do not tell me I am not serious, u have NO idea.
@BalusaPatricia, these are your words "We called on EVERYONE to help us including Africans" (Yeah we know you are not calling for Africans here... They are certainly not you first option).
Okey they have problem with rapes... Tell them to militarized the country. And to militarized the country with mostly women from any part of the country along with any suitable African spiritual system of cultivation and philosophical code. The country will be rape free at light speed. And their resources will be theirs...
Never call the international community to rescue anything in Africa, who told these people to call the international community. They are asking for re-colonization. The international community A.K.A western whites countries and their slaves, is a counter-revolutionist group...
@nayodiop We called on EVERYONE to help us including Africans also. Did u at any point hear us call out to the westerner countries? that is ur conclusion, it's such a shame we try to reach out to everyone and we have people like you who bring so much ignorance to belittle the intention, it actually hurts. but I guess its ur kind of support we do not need.
Just by listening this I can tell you than those people are not serious. First they called what happened in Ivory coast a revolution, then Libya a revolution... And they call for the international community to rescue the Congo which proves that they are pawns. Plus background sound... Whites and Europens are behind them... If you are not happy about what is hapening there call the for the SADC.
@nayodiop Oh wow so 1st of all we did NOT call on international community for RESCUE, we asked for help and support, It takes a generation to change the world NOT just a race or a nation. White people are there because it is a free country if they want to help support the cause must we say no? and You did not even get to see half the people who were actually there at the protest for u to make such statements like "Background sounds white" SO?
what kinda question is that?...why is the international community keeping quiet?....boi, are people serious that asleep to not realize who they the international community are and who they work for and answer to?....when is my people going to acquire for wisdom and knowledge???
Your so called 'revolution' is not televised for the following reasons: 1. Your numbers are not big enough. 2. Your combatants are violent and ruining the reputation of the so called 'movement'. 3. You are completely disorganized. If the opposition was better organized, they would have won outright. 4. The fraud of the elections went both ways. 5. The international community don't have a better option than Kabila. 6. The demonstrators are biting the hands that feed them.
I am a Katangaise, Kabila is a tutsi, I am Congolese Kabila is a Rwandese how in heavens sake did he legitly gain all this power without american support and just like Mobutu who was used by America then labelled a dictator when they got the mineral wealth, Kabila too will be ousted by the same America/ belgium who helped bring him in.
You won't accept the progress in Kinshasa. It's the place where he's the least popular. He IS doing things all over the country. You won't accept that I'm doing things, fine, I don't need to tell you my life story. I have solutions! You're not even Congolese. Ever been? You want to bring awareness but your information is totally biased. I would send an email but...So far your responses are anger and denial. I don't think you're ready. Look up Quantam Mining. They finance Tshisekedi.
Only Mobutu supporters and now Tshisekedi say things like Kabila is worse than Mobutu. He couldn't and didn't steal more in 10 years than Mobutu in 27. He's never had absolute power like Mobutu had. Kinshasa has improved with Kabila, it only deteriorated with Mobutu. So I don't know what these people are talking about.
@artist4africa That is your subjective opinion, I know many Congolese people who would disagree with you. Who have a run organisations & institutions in DRC who have credibility.
I will now end this debate, it's clear it's productive, you're not providing solutions.
@ubuntufilms yes Kabila isnt all good and we need a change but those Congolese who hateh im are usually tribalists and want a kasai person to be in control. They hate all of us who are from Katanga
@ubuntufilms America only televises the places where they want gain liek in Libya Gaddafi wasnt giving them oil so they made efforts to only show the bad he did with no evidence of him doing it, Mubarak of Egypt same stuff, but in Saudi arabia they wont show anythign because america owns alot of the oil companies. In Congo america already has alot of mine companies due to the corrupt presidents Mobutu and Kabila with help of surrounding ugana,Rwanada supoorted by America.
@artist4africa I hear that but in terms of death, who had cost more lives? Millions have died in the hands of Kabila, you ate saying Kabila improved KINSHASA but what about the REST of congo? Bare in mind Congo is more than JUST kinshasha, there is no use in JUST fixing the city while people out of the city are dying and being raped because of your soldier.
By the way, your 'protesters' murdered a man last week. They tried to burn down the embassy, the are terrorizing Congolese shop owners and beating up Kabila supporters. They are posting the pictures of children of diplomats online, they've come out with a hit list and are awaiting instructions from their leader in Kinshasa. I am a witness of this and didn't hear it from anywhere. I really like that people are out there raising awareness, I said that before. Just get your facts straight!
@artist4africa you're talking nonsense. The majority of the people that I know have denounced that. You're attempting to link everyone here to what you have mentioned?
That if irrational. Take your nonsense somewhere else brothers. This is about nation building, raising awareness & organising & mobolising young Congolese & African people.
Getting involved in political education to build a powerful Africa.
@artist4africa You are what they call 'The devil's lawyer'
Over 8 million people have been killed and more than half are children since Kabila has been in power but you want to complain about the protesters? Get a life honestly. Go and humbly support Kabila just don't try to stop the rest of us from standing up for humanity.
Check my other videos, you'll see that I know what I'm talking about. You challenged me to make one, I've got a bunch of them posted. I made all of the ones on my page. I'm in Africa, I'm not sitting in Europe or the States crying about how bad it is. I'm actually doing something. But keep throwing insults...it doesn't change the truth of what I'm saying. It also makes you look like the looser.
@artist4africa *sigh* now you're making the assumption that you're "actually doing something" please, if you wish to get to know me & what I do, send me an e-mail. I will tell you in great detail what I do in the diaspora & the continent in my country (Zimbabwe)
The editing was bad because of the music. Other people told you that. Also, it's like 8 million people, no 10 million people no 5 million people. Do be afraid of critique, it will only make you better.
@artist4africa again, have I not said thank you to those who have said the sound kinda got in the way? The message got across... why do you seem to have an obsession with the sound? Which a lot more people do not have a problem with..
The anger and the insults don't represent you very well. Makes you sound violent. Your video specifically, maybe the other one, the girl in the video specifically says that she wants Tshisekedi. So if you don't support him, good for you. Cause he's financed by one of those 'mining companies' that you talk about in your movie. It's a bit of a contradiction. You want Kabila out, 'dead' as the one lady says, but don't offer solutions.
@artist4africa You're confusing me, the videographer & the sentiments of people that I am recording.
I advocate political education as I have exclusively said & other people have mentioned. Millions of people have died, does it matter what scope? Really? Let's not get into semantics.
Interesting video. One thing I don't really understand is why Tshisekedi is seen as a replacement. My understanding is that he was instrumental in Mubutu's brutal dictatorship, in the murder of Lumumba and deposition of the democratically elected government of the post-colonial period. Is this not the case and if so how can he be the person to look to for leadership?
@rlugg I completely understand what you are saying, I think Congolese people are desperate for CHANGE that they are willing to chose anyone BUT kabila, someone said something that touched me, "what Mobutu done in 32 years, Kabila has managed to do in 10 years" If Kabila is viewed as worse than Mobutu then people would rather have someone who's worked alongside Mubutu lead them than Kabila. Also I think Tshisekedi's political views has changed A LOT since the Mobutu days.
"It's not smart to dissent." Was your response to me. Sounds very fascist. Aren't you dissenting? You can't handle debate? Beautiful video (bad editing and sound), but inaccurate. Therefore, it is my DUTY to dissent.
@artist4africa listen you insipid drone. I don't know or understand your obsession with Etienne Tshisekedi however this video is not about him. You've missed the core message which is the voice of the Congole people & political discourse which they have been denied.
I have had many conversations about him, not all Congolese people support him or Kabila for that matter. If you wish, make a video educating people & engage in a productive conversation.
@artist4africa "Beautiful video (bad editing and sound), but inaccurate." What absolute nonsense. This video & other like it have managed to inspire & organise not only Congolese, but African & non African people... & you have the audacity to attempt to belittle it because of your pathetic subjective criticism that is has bad sound?...
Engage in a productive conversation that will help to raise awareness about Congo or really & truly there is no point in you commenting here.
You are helping to Zombify Africans like the Europeans and Americans have taught you to do. Here's another side of Congo. Look at my clip 'The Changing Face of Kinshasa" and show me where you see the hell you talk about. And explain why you can't go back.
@artist4africa I have had people tell me in the past few days that they have had people who they know killed in election violence in Kinshasa... Youth leaders have been kidnapped for trying to organise marches.
So right now, your "The chaning face of Kinshasa" doesn't mean shit.
Tshisekedi will NOT STOP PEOPLE FROM BEING KILLED IN CONGO. HE WILL ONLY INCREASE IT!!! I'm waiting for a response. You replied when I commented on your other video, so I'm waiting for you comment here. You know i'm right. I have FACTS to prove you are wrong about that old man.
I have three undisputed FACTS that will prove I am right. I don't know who the people who posted this are linked to, probably Mobutu. But if I have your attention, you are peaceful and open to debate, then respond. That way I'll know my comments are listened to and are not being erased.
Nice video. It's good to see other film makers like me who are passionate about their country, the DR Congo. If you look at my page, you'll see that I know what I'm talking about. Your passion for the people dying in the Congo has lead you to the wrong choice. Tshisekedi will NOT STOP PEOPLE FROM BEING KILLED IN CONGO. HE WILL ONLY INCREASE IT!!!
congo is self sufficient country we have diamond, gold, copper, magnesiuim, cobal, zinc all these minerals grow naturally in the land, yet congo is the third poorest country, how ironic, please guys lets stand ENOUGH IS ENOUGH, march 2moro all london men, women, children enough is enough
@layla81las The Carter Centre & many other independent observers & post-election agencies who are seing sometimes 100% turnout & 99.4% votes for Kabila in many places.
Watching this made me cry. Especially the part about the 3 month baby. My heart hurts. It bleeds for the congolese. I am ashamed of this government for not allowing vital media coverage on these tragic events. I will spread the word. Great video btw. Your words touched my heart and I really want to help this cause.
i ask myself the same question, why doesn't congo get media attention while in the middle east have been so recent and the whole world knew it, congo, south sudan and somalia innocent people have sufferd for long but they never get any attention like others do why???. Lets take this opportunity and tell the world whts been going on
Great girls. This is a fantastic video. With so much obvious media blackout going on in the UK this year it becomes much clearer that real media is in our hands to be used in the widest spectrum with whatever tools we have. Thanks,
The Western media is quiet because the West has a vested interest in the Congo, and profits from the bloodshed and chaos that occurs there. Even when/if the media report it, they will do their best to mar the protests/protesters and not address or highlight the real issues. You have a very tough road ahead.
What I want to know from the makers of this video are, who were those linked to these protests for the riots in Central London on December 10th?
Who were the 140 "demonstrators" who terrorised cancer sufferers in Trafalgar square, tried to set fire to its Christmas tree, and caused evacuation of a train stattion?
@mjtvalfather I'm a person, with a camera who takes pictures & videos as a hobby.
Even though I cannot understand the second question, it is ridiculous to assert a link between a protest sparked by political unrest in Congo is linked to the riots that happened across the UK.
I don't know who those people are, this protest happened on the 8th of December.
@slewasteman Its cool but it kind of ruins your work which I'm sure you don't want. I shared it on Facebook and other people agreed that the music is a bit over bearing.
@mjtvalfather No we are not linked to the stupidity that happened in Trafalgar square, as you can see we have a different approach.
Whatever they did is for them to deal with and when we are around we make sure and continue to make sure that things do NOT escalate and that no one is harm.
Anyways I'm sorry to hear about that but we hope you have learned about the issues and Crisis in Congo.
@mjtvalfather No one attacked cancer sufferers nor did anyone st alight to the Christmas tree. You really should listen to the people in the video, understand the suffering and put yourself in their shoes. It's a fucking disgrace the way the UK and USA ignore the situation in the Congo because it suits them to profit from the rape and pillage of whole communities in the Congo.
Interesting: first search on Etienne Tshisekedi includes a Reuters report that he plans to organize nonviolent opposition protests in Congo this week. Would be good to share if your sources have more specific information about the planned marches.
Expats abroad protesting a local regime isn't a revolution (c.f. Cuba). A revolution = local regime change: an new, public-supported DRC administration ready to undermine the Kabila govt. If there is a local Congolese revolution afoot, it'd help to publicize its leaders & scope.
Caribbean expats are often unfairly told to keep quiet or come home, though they invest a lot in the home economy/culture. How receptive are local Congolese people to expat intervention? How have they responded so far?
@menzian they have responded very well to what expats have been on the streets of london, paris, us and canada, because it shows that they aren't forgotten. one of the main reason why expats are doing these protests is because most of them (if not all) have families living in the congo, so they know if they don't try to raise awareness about what is going they may never see or speak to them again.
@TKManUTD1989: Thanks for responding. Are you in touch with the video makers? Because I agree that information should be shared and awareness raised, I recommend follow-up videos describing the counter-regime and local leaders that these protesters are supporting in place of and critical of Kabila's administration. Otherwise non-Congolese viewers won't have a sense of the local context and workers. The locals will have to create the change even if they have expat encouragement.
just search for the name etienne tshisekidi on this site and you will find all the videos you need to get why people are supporting him instead of kabila. the man has been fighting for the congolese people for more than 30 years, he was elected to the office of prime minister twice but was removed and thrown in jail by the then dictator of the country mobutu sese seko, because he was too popular especially in kinshasa (the capital city). he's the only men who can bring stability to the congo.
I am currently working on a short documentary on the political history of the DRC, an introduction to people who don't know it's history. But it's main focus will be "moving forward" in other words organising the Congolese & African diaspora & discuss how to have an impact on the continent.
This was quick, something to get information of what is happening in Congo & the diaspora that is going unreported.
@menzian I will most definitely do that. I am trying to do it as fast as possible before the window on raising awareness on Congo closes again, but at the same time I want it to be an informative piece that will make people active.
Thank you for your comments, if you need to contact me directly message me for my e-mail.

I wish you guys the very best with your campaign.

What I want to know from the makers of this video are, who were those linked to these protests for the riots in Central London on December 10th?
Who were the 140 "demonstrators" who terrorised cancer sufferers in Trafalgar square, tried to set fire to its Christmas tree, and caused evacuation of a train stattion?
mjtvalfather 2 months ago
@mjtvalfather I'm a person, with a camera who takes pictures & videos as a hobby.
Even though I cannot understand the second question, it is ridiculous to assert a link between a protest sparked by political unrest in Congo is linked to the riots that happened across the UK.
I don't know who those people are, this protest happened on the 8th of December.

@ubuntufilms Why did you put such load music over the women speaking its difficult to hear what they are saying. Why did you do that?
SISTAHTEEK 2 months ago
@SISTAHTEEK You're the first to complain about that, my apologies.
slewasteman 2 months ago in playlist Favorite videos
@slewasteman Its cool but it kind of ruins your work which I'm sure you don't want. I shared it on Facebook and other people agreed that the music is a bit over bearing.
SISTAHTEEK 2 months ago
@mjtvalfather No we are not linked to the stupidity that happened in Trafalgar square, as you can see we have a different approach.
Whatever they did is for them to deal with and when we are around we make sure and continue to make sure that things do NOT escalate and that no one is harm.
Anyways I'm sorry to hear about that but we hope you have learned about the issues and Crisis in Congo.
BalusaPatricia 2 months ago

How have they responded so far?
menzian 2 months ago
@menzian they have responded very well to what expats have been on the streets of london, paris, us and canada, because it shows that they aren't forgotten. one of the main reason why expats are doing these protests is because most of them (if not all) have families living in the congo, so they know if they don't try to raise awareness about what is going they may never see or speak to them again.
TKManUTD1989 2 months ago
@TKManUTD1989: Thanks for responding. Are you in touch with the video makers? Because I agree that information should be shared and awareness raised, I recommend follow-up videos describing the counter-regime and local leaders that these protesters are supporting in place of and critical of Kabila's administration. Otherwise non-Congolese viewers won't have a sense of the local context and workers. The locals will have to create the change even if they have expat encouragement.
menzian 2 months ago
just search for the name etienne tshisekidi on this site and you will find all the videos you need to get why people are supporting him instead of kabila. the man has been fighting for the congolese people for more than 30 years, he was elected to the office of prime minister twice but was removed and thrown in jail by the then dictator of the country mobutu sese seko, because he was too popular especially in kinshasa (the capital city). he's the only men who can bring stability to the congo.
TKManUTD1989 2 months ago
@TKManUTD1989: Thank you; that's helpful information.
menzian 2 months ago
@menzian Thank you very much for your comments!
I am currently working on a short documentary on the political history of the DRC, an introduction to people who don't know it's history. But it's main focus will be "moving forward" in other words organising the Congolese & African diaspora & discuss how to have an impact on the continent.
This was quick, something to get information of what is happening in Congo & the diaspora that is going unreported.
ubuntufilms 2 months ago
@ubuntufilms: Excellent. I'd love to hear when your documentary is completed. Perhaps you can update this thread at that time? Blessings to you.
menzian 2 months ago
@menzian I will most definitely do that. I am trying to do it as fast as possible before the window on raising awareness on Congo closes again, but at the same time I want it to be an informative piece that will make people active.
Thank you for your comments, if you need to contact me directly message me for my e-mail.
