Summer of '83, staying with friends in Lockport NY. First heard CFNY. Where else could you hear New Order's " Everythings Gone Green," ABC's first single "Tears Aren't Enough" and Martha & the Vandella's "Quiksand" within a 20 minute set? Just like free form, late 60s and early 70s radio. Best one I've heard and I'm a DJ.

For those those that are interested, the Spoons just released a new album "Static In Transmisssion", it came out last week.and they are currently working on the video for the first single "You LIght Up" . The albums is fantasic, you can pic it up at most record stores.

I heard this song for the 1st time in the very early 80's on CFNY 102.1. It was THIS song that drove me to buy my 1st synth, Roland JP-4 (RIP)

Wish I seen this show at the Mod Club.. It would have been surreal.
