you can actually use a light dimmer to regulate the temperature instead of buying a lot of different bulbs. its SO much easier. just friendly advice for the next time you hatch chickens! but dont get those water thermostats because they dont stay at exactly 99.5 F (37.5 C) the temp goes up and down a lot. but if they work for you, you can use it. im just saying that from experience!
i made one with a cardboard box and a heat lamp it heeps the temp at around 99-104 degreese tooi just need to get the humidity just right hopefully it dont make the box soggy
Great Job. Thank you for sharing this. I love the extra windows. I was wondering how you could regulate the temp. I have the little Hova Bator and it regulates the temp all day and night. I want to make one of these to use as the hatchery when the time comes. I am trying my first bantam eggs.
I had issues with maintaining proper temperature. It was a battle, but it worked with the help of a light dimmer. Theyre relatively cheap and give you the upper hand in adjusting the temps.
Oh man! Never though of that! lol ... I had the same strugle, but finally managed to get it right. Im using a 10 watt bulb, and a bowl of water and had to add an extra tin of water to increase humidity. Its almost at 60%. I also created a "homemade egg candle" hehe... its day 5 so far... not sure on which day I should be able to see something when candling... but so far so good... peace and thanx for posting your video.

wtf? lol its not your vid
lolskilolski 2 years ago
just add a dimmer to the bulb, this way you can even use a 60watt bulb but just dim it low...this way you can get better and easier results.
