  • sounds fucking awesome!

  • sounded like a 2001 when it started up but thats a rare combination for a p10/15

  • Another suburb did this with their Allertors as well. I wanna say Orland park but I could be wrong. nice video. sounds awesome!

  • Sounds like the Penetrator horn doesn't have quite as low of a cutoff frequency as the Allertor horn. The only reason I can think of for them swapping out the horn and intake like they did on this one is because the old horn and intake probably got damaged. I personally like the Allertor's lower cutoff freq better, but this is still a great video.

  • That's a unique pitch combination! NEVER heard anything like that before!

  • Wow great catch!

  • Wow, now that is very rare to come across a P-10 with an 8/12 rotor, and I guess this is the P-50's little brother.

  • nice, is this in Will county? if so, surprised it wasnt removed since a lot of the older sirens were removed and not replaced. awesome video, btw

  • The back is too long to be an old Allertor also it is thinner too

  • @garyhstorms10 I dunno, I compared it to a photo of an 8-12 Allertor's rotator, and it looks the same, or very similar. I know well it looks different from the normal P-10 rotator. Notice the horn is a bit too high compared to a normal P-10.

  • @JustInn014 The motor houseing is aa little taller and more slender like the old allertors, this must be one of the earliest makes of this siren.

  • @piper102206 That's right. Allertors from 1968 to around 1971 used this rotator design. The 8-12 port was only made in 1970, so that is probably when this siren was originally installed. No idea when it was converted to the Penetrator horn, but these older Allertors were 10 HP.

  • @garyhstorms10 This thing definitely used to be an old Allertor, because it has the old Allertor motor in it. It would sound about 3/4 of a semitone higher in pitch if it had a Penetrator motor in it.

  • @garyhstorms10 The allertor and the penetrator are the same damn siren, just one has that funky horn.

  • Was this an old Allertor converted into a Penetrator? Great sound.

  • @JustInn014 Yes, that's what it seems like and that's what it probably is.
