  • John E has some REAL good songs at GodTTTube.

They tried 200 singers. John E got the K lead.

    That says something. Thanks Sal.

  • i have no problem with john ele....whats his name singing his own material during steve walshs departure from the band, but like many true kansas fans, i have a real hard time hearing him sing walsh tunes.

  • So you would deprive the world of this bands creative genius live because a pompous arrogant pinhead(admittedly the best singer on the planet)left and the band wanted to soldier on! Maybe you don't like him or his singing but you can't be that stubborn to deny the band wanting to continue without him!You just don't like the fact that Elefante did a pretty damn good job in his place!

  • although you and i have had this debate here before, i'll just say again steve did not leave kansas, kansas left him. summer of 1980 kerry tells phil that he, and dave had turned to god and wanted to take the band in that direction. walsh in his own words said that he had no right singing those songs that he did not feel a passion for singing. the rest of the bad including phil said, oh no this is not going to work. one album later robbie leaves the band. so who sold out here kerry or steve?

  • Your info is wrong! Steve left of his own accord!

  • sure he did, but only because of kerry & dave's new found religion. and john did bring in some good stuff, i won't deny that. my entire point is that if hope and livgren don't turn on the direction of the band, this band could have stayed intact well beyond 1980 and put out some awsome material.

  • Thanks for posting Sal. Kansas Blessings.

  • my fav song on Vinyl Confessions

  • FINALLY!!!! They have the mighty prince on youtube. I swear ive been searching & searching for ages, just to find them but only video in sight was 'black sweat'.My my my what did ever happen to good old american pop?? Now its taken over by bland & samey r&b, what happened to the prince's, madge's and jacksons?? I just suppose ill have to live with it...some how!*?

  • hah, yea, & them zapp & rogerz, i can hardly find the sizzling videos of them, hardly, jus like you said, O' good old american pop & funk!!!

  • Haha 100% gutted, its not even prince its some strange man who ive never even seen!!

  • A good song but obviously the greatest departure from what everyone came to know as kansas. A bit funky with a jazz feel and the nice sax solo with a multilayered backing vocal. Fine with me i love jazz more than any music but this is not what kansas fans were used to.

Fyi trivia, roger taylor of queen poppoed into the studio in LA to help with the backing vocals.

  • Great sound quality and performance, thanks for posting.
