OMG I can't believe ppl r raggin on Daphne! She is WAY better than Rosario! She has more range and vocal experience than Rosario! You must be tone deaf if you can't hear the difference in the soundtracks! Grrr...BTW Daphne is the original that brought Mimi's character to life! On the other hand, I love the back view shot of Adam's ass! rawr! sexxxy! :P

This is my favorite song from RENT, but this version does nothing for me. It seems like Adam just completely dominates her voice. Plus, I've always been a huge fan of Anthony.
I'm sure she's a great performer, but she sounds a little off to me. I'm sure someone else disagrees and thinks this was amazing. That's fine.

I normally love Daphne, and whenever I hear the OBC soundtrack I think she is really great. This, however, is painful to listen to. Even though it wasn't written for her, the way she is singing just makes me cringe. And keep in mind that other people have played Mark in the show, and although it's not the same as Anothony and Adam, it still sounds good. Daphne is just soooo off.

I'm gonna be honest, Daphne was NEVER, EVER, EVER, EVER, EVER good. I've seen her. She's not good. And the majority of the Mimi's haven't been very good either.

Love Daphne and Adam but this performance was not that good...especially on Daphne's part but I mean it's not her fault, she's not usually supposed to sing this part so of course it doesn't sound the same as Anthony or any other Mark singing it!

when i watch stuff like this to not compare people to the others that have sung it, in this case anthony rapp, and try to look at the vocal performance larson wanted to create when he wrote the music...
Unfortunately she is not in the right key and off-beat, i have to say 80% of the time and this mars the song sufficiently...
although part of me thinks that is because this song was written as a male-male duet and therefore she goes deliberately low, but kinda f*'s it up.

I think Daphne is fantastic here, i wish people would stop insulting her. Here are two tips.
1. If you don't like this watch her in Out Tonight.
2. The part she is singing was not sung by her in the stage show so she's probably not as used to it as Adam Pascal.

Personally I think she did one hell of a good job. It's hard for a female to sing a song written particularly for Anthony. I also love that she tried to make it her own itsead of copying Anthony exactly. So I say kudos to her!

I agree with everyone else. Daphne sucks. She can not sing at all and she overexaggerates some of the words to make her sound like she's high or something. Yuck. Give me Anthony Rapp any day over that chick. No wonder they didn't cast her in the movie.

Ok first of all I'm a guy moron. Second of all I don't give a shit about why they didn't cast her in the movie, she's horrible so they made the right decision to not put her in the movie period. Rosario Dawson is 1000x better than her. Looks and singing voice wise.
