I wish they showed games here in America. I don't know who I'd root for, probably a team from Germany or Ireland, since that's what I am.
I like college football because it seems that it is the most emotional of all the games for the fans. But god damn I got alot of respect for "football" and its fans. Any game where the fans get this drunk and rowdy has to be exciting.
I can totally understand an unwavering loyalty to a side. I'm a rugby man myself and am utterly devoted. But, do you honestly think that that kind of behaviour shows love or respect of your team? It just makes other fans not want to go. I take my kids to the rugby but would not dream of it if I thought that was gonna happen. Seriously, have a fight away from the ground by all means, but give a thought to the image of football and those people who just want to watch a game.
I don't mind if they want to fight, as long as they keep it away from the game where innocent by-standers won't get dragged in. As long as they are out of view, I am not bothered what they get up to (And TBH, I think most of the time its not even being about fanatical about your team- but rather its just an excuse to fight)
Yet another reason why soccer sucks.
