I played a baby petrof grand piano today at my local piano dealer and I was blown away with how the action felt on it. it was so easy and smooth to play on ( I also have very very small hands) and the sound was so clear and mejastic compard to a 1977 rebult steinway model L next to it. If I had the space in my home I would bought it right away.

You should really have a competent piano technician service your piano - not just a piano tuner. There is no reason why your Petrof should not be giving you excellent service. They are excellent pianos.

ANY piano however if not serviced can perform poorly. Have a competant piano tech service the piano, tell him what you want improved.

btw all pianos should be tuned at least every 6 months.

i dont like petrof...i have a upright, bought it for $5000CAD, its only been 5 years and its feel has softened dramatically, i tune it every 8 months or so? what should i do? im planning to sell it and get a Yamaha since my gr.10 rcm exam is coming up, what should i do?

You could always have the instrument voiced. If you like a bright sound check out Baldwin.

Nice brand Petrof, I always liked its european sound. I am curious to try these new models. Funny to give names of winds, may be it looks like they are full of strength, yet moving freely and even sound?
