  • STOP LANDING ON YOUR FREAKING TOES!!!!!!

  • @berndawg123 you're an idiot. what she's doing is correct. if she puts the pressure on the toes the calves will absorb the shock but if you dont believe me try doing the same thing and put all the pressure in your heels and let me know how your knees feel.

  • @TheBigc2704 ... do you know anything about anatomy or kinesiology? my guess is no. you don't squat through your toes. you don't deadlift through your toes. and you certainly do not land on your toes after push-jerking. doing any of those through your toes adds another lever which adds more stress to the system. if you want to learn about form, watch a powerlifter. they squat 1000+lbs (guess what?) through their heels.

p.s. - my knees feel amazing, thank you.

  • This video inspired me to do a lot of jerking

  • is this how u push jerks off of you at the bar too?

  • cute

  • @CristinaTatianaZ thank you! & thankkk you!!

  • for an amusing dictation by Mark Rippetoe on cross-fit, search ""These young crossfit whipper snappers"" on youtube. you don't do high-impact lifts like the snatch, clean and jerk, power snatch, power clean, rack jerks, etc for reps like these people do. it puts WAY too much stress on the joints. that's why oly lifters train by doing singles up to the 1RM. you don't see them training doing a set of 10 reps of 400 lbs in the snatch. that's just not smart and downright unhealthy.

  • also, for everyone saying it's not 115, look at 0:19 when she racks it. you can see where it says "35" on the plate. idiots.

  • however, i agree. most of the people posting on this video are being sexist and unfair in the sense that comparatively/relatively, women have less upper strength than men (with the tricep being one of their problem areas that generally needs work done [putting them at a disadvantage in any pressing movement]) so they shouldn't be judged accordingly. she's also a figure athlete, so it's not like she's trying to build substantially large amounts of muscle mass/behemoth shoulders.

  • There are many different ways to build strength, crossfit vs. bodybuilding , its all the same to me you still build strength just in a different way. Its only when you are dieting down for bigger people to meat a goal in weight, is when you are at your weakest! In my opinion!

  • "good for a girl". you're a fucking idiot. there are girls that could probably kick your fucking ass. have you seen the crossfit women? most of them are stronger than most men. and if you think you're fit 'cause you merely go to the gym and pump some iron, you've got another thing coming.

these are power moves. they make you fucking strong, and they build explosive power. i'd like to see some of the men that just bodybuild and nothing else try power lifts.

    SMH. fucking sexist is sexist.

  • @CristinaTatianaZ you're retarded. crossfit doesn't build strength. have you even read their mission statement? i have nothing against women lifting. i'm introducing my lady into oly style lifts as well as powerlifting/bodybuilding. just know that crossfit truly isn't an optimal method of building strength/maximal power output. yes, it gets girls fit. no, it doesn't make them stronger than, say, an olympic lifter or powerlifter. i'm speaking in terms of relative strength (/lbofbw), not overall.

  • @Zooguido um yes, i do crossfit and know what their mission statement is. and no, you're retarded, because crossfit works on a lot of different things, things that focus to create a better--rounded athlete.

i didn't say that crossfit makes you "stronger" than an olympic or power lifter, i just said that a lot of crossfit women are strong, and that they're stronger than a lot of men that i know who don't do shit at the gym or who all that they do is focus on bicep curls and tricep extensions.

  • @Zooguido i also never said that crossfit was THE BEST thing out there. there are a lot of training methodologies around and crossfit just happens to be one of them.

my general gripe about clips like these is that men are ALWAYS super quick to criticize the women in them, and not even in a constructive way. things like "not bad for a girl" irks me when there are girls that DO lift better than some guys. and even when the girl in the clip IS using excellent form, sexist comments are even worse.

  • @CristinaTatianaZ I had no sexist things to say about the video. Perhaps if you weren't so defensive, you would be able to see this. I merely attacked your position. Her form is mediocre, from my standpoint. She doesn't need to be bringing her feet up so far mid-way through the jerk and then stomping them down onto her toes. If this were a proper jerk, her goal would be to sink down below the bar while pushing it above her head, rather than what she's displaying in the video.

  • @CristinaTatianaZ My only gripe about Crossfit (for getting in really good shape, density training or timed training really is one of the best ways to go aka WOD) is that the focus is a lot of the time on quantity over quality... one should NEVER forego safety just in the name of getting more work done... if your in this lifting thing for life then performance and safety should go hand in hand... and yes their are some very bad ass women of Cross fit.

  • This is good for a girl, but let see how much she can military press, if she can do 115 at least once she's strong.

  • @Truejusticevoice "Good for a girl...?" Insecure much? lol.

  • @gloriusmom Insecure me? gluriuz mama

  • @Truejusticevoice I think you are right. Trying a military lift shows stregnthof upper body and not the springing action of the relatively much more powerful legs to get up the momemtum where the arms just lock in place and you straighten your arms while the lower body goes down. Then by standing with those locked in place arms, it is AGAIN the lower body doing all of the lifting. Military press, I estimate 80-90 pounds for 2 reps. "Good for a girl" as most girls cant do this.

  • isn't that 135 ??

  • @enchilada702lv hell no, those are are bumper plates, those are probably 10 pound plates.

  • @isoprepable they're 35's

  • let me spank dat ass

  • There is no way I could stay focused in the same gym as you , love your figure and outfit erin!

  • Hey, great!

  • very pretty in pink .

  • so awesome Erin!! love your outfit :)

  • Is that all you do for that exercise?

  • im in love <3_<3

  • OMG you're the best
