there is a f-16s for thunder-birds and f-18s in blue angels.now...why nobody accepted f-15 when is well known by it' maneuverability.

i mean,that plane mayor role was (and still it is) to gain and maintain air superiority.would be somebody nice out there to explain me that?....it bothers me for 20 years...and i apologize for my English

@kordicb I can only venture a guess, but the F16 is cheaper to fly. There's the additional consideration that at the time of its selection, the F16 was the most modern fighter in the Air Force...the "electric jet" and all that.
