So essentially what you're saying in this video is that it doesn't work in Mac at all, unless you use run bootcamp which is essentially windows. Hmph. I tried downloading the easycap viewer software which is suppose to work for mac, but it doesn't recognise the device. The light comes on the device but no sign of it in video glide or easycap viewer. Waste of money then because I don't run bootcamp, I fricking hate windows.

Sometimes I have a line in the top of my recordings. What causes that? Maybe because the device gets hot??? It's not in the video. It's in the very top of the video. Occasionally I come across youtube videos the same way. What can I do about that? do I need to post a sample video?

@bluestreak711 It depends on the program you use to record the video. Normally programs let you crop that top area off or you can pick a screen dimension that is slightly smaller vertically to crop that top bit off. Usually this is just a tracking issue from VHS video or interference from the RCA cables.

@wwwgjackca I have Nero 7 Ultra Edition and the Ulead software that comes with the Easy Cap USB. Will one of those crop the video? I haven't tried video cassettes yet. So far I've just been trying to save stuff off my DVR.

plz answer! so i did everything right. perfectly got all the cables setup and when i plug in my easycap the green light goes on. but when i download the easycapviewer it says my dc60 isnt connected when it is. HELP

@TEHKlNG Make sure you hook it up to usb 2.0 port. If you are using a Mac you can now use DC60 with Easycap Viewer. I recommend using iSquint to capture the video and Soundflower to send the audio to iSquint. Hope that helps.

@TEHKlNG Yes, make sure it's a port at the back of the computer, not from a keyboard. It needs enough power to be recognized by your computer. Make sure you have the latest EasyCap Viewer and make sure you've done a restart before opening EasyCap viewer. Plug in the easycap first, then open the viewer. You should get a black screen with a playbutton in the middle. If it still doesn't recognize easycap viewer make sure other video programs are closed.

@wwwgjackca i dont have the usb port on the back of my macbook. i think its something about the product id of the easycap not matching up to my usb port id.. i have one a newer macbook too. oh and is it weird that when i download my easycap viewer i dont have to like unzip or install anything it just like shows up and says my dc60 isnt connecting right as i open it?

can you do it without bootcamp? i have parralells on my macbook and its incredibly slow...I can get video on my mac but its not in color, it has giant zig-zag lines across(destroying the picture), and i do have sound.

if you have windows 7 it will work, and yes, it can display a computer output to a tv. you only need either a VGA cable or an HDMI cable (assuming your tv has one). if your tv dosent have one then you might have to make some tweeks with the easycap or get some program that will. i think VirtualDub does something like that

So I kinda get what you mean, but I would hate to play on a small 5 inch screen with my mighty 55 inch TV doing nothing. So would it work to use "Theatre Mode" from Call of Duty Black Ops? It's just like a recorder on the actual console. Would that work fine?

the easy cap dc 60 will will on the mac. all i had to do was download a free driver easycapviewer and it will now record from any video input. it plays using the quicktime player dmg app.. now i am off to the grocery store to get me a burger.

Well offical u can't use dc60 with mac (without bootcamp) but with software called Easycapviewer u can use DC60 with mac just and then it just plug&play

you can play in HDMI, you just cant capture in HDMI, the setup is use is my HD cables go into my tv and my SD cable goes into my capture card and i split the audio

actually. do the research because im too lazy, but i am pretty sure that it records the whole tv screen so you dont even have to record games. you could record your fav tv show and put it on youtube and make a spoof out of the ones you dont. but this i am not sure about so look it up your self
