I think he sings just well in his new album but those are new songs , they do take more time before you fall in love(or familiar) with those songs. Obviously they takes more effort from Jam's part to appeal to the audience than the old and popular songs. I support him anyway because he is just great.
i hate his new singing style on the cd, very polished and boring. i love this rehearsal. like the original jam! i hope he ditches his stupid record company that dresses him like a clown. he was the best in the singing competition! he must speak up and break free from those stupid record producers

When his own album is launched, too much emphasis is put on his versatility and his own style is sacrificed as a result.
Besides, I think Jam is very akin to rock stars like David Bowie and the Rolling Stones whose live performances are far more superior to their studio recordings.

but listening to him practicing, which he most probably used his most comfortable singing style, and is the style that he used in 2007, and which is the style that is very different from his album.
so i can't help but to think, jam likes to sing like this, but his company force him to sing like in his album to appeal to greater audience?
it must be the unique qualities of his voice, cos not many singers or none, have a voice like his. I heard someone said such a voice has not been discovered for the last few decades. He is very shy compared to other new singers, but just by standing still and singing, he already dazzles

歌手不就是應該多作嘗試嗎?
雖然我也較喜歡以前的唱腔, 但敬騰的歌聲,感情和技巧, 仍舊是最好, 最能感動我的.
