  • the blue spirit has an afro in the movie! ???

  • If DragonBall Evolution is anything to go by this movie is going to suck

  • @andrewlus apples and oranges

  • hey you should do an analysis of the new theatrical trailer

  • I think I'll get to it :) but right now I'm busy playing Mass Effect 2

  • sleeping bear just woke up today and the coiled snake knows its awake.

  • Death note was a good live action movie(s). I never saw whole thing of the Zelda one but it was pretty good. I really don't know any I can think of that are good. I believe there are a few more. But, avatar you does seem like it would be good live action movie unlike dragonball.

  • X-men? Spider-man? lol The Dark Knight?

  • Well anime wise. But I agree on Dark Knight Spider-man Ehh only 1st one I personally think. X-Men I honestly never seen the old. But new was good.

  • Yeah but that's less of a "Hollywood screwed it up" and more of a "I personally only liked the first one" (as in other may think 1 and 2 were great but 3 sucked, or 2 and 3 were great and one sucked, or the best one was part 2, or the best was part 3. I've heard'em all so yeah)

Does it matter if you've seen the old or not? The new one was good. You should have to see the old one to know that, you should have to avoid the old one to know that. The new one is it's own class and is good or bad

  • And Avatar wasn't an anime but I know whatcha mean. There's not many anime turned into American films actually considering they're not really American cartoons. I don't think ANYONE has done a REALLY good live action anime. XD

For example. In Asian, live action based on Anime are majority of who live there; Asian. And in American, the actors are the majority who live here, American (which makes the most sense in The Last Airbender REALLY) but in neither have they really done all THAT great ^^

  • Avatar the last airbender not the lame movie.

  • what lame movie? The Last Airbender? That movie looks cool XD

  • @kalin666 dont worry about it. I am an avatar fan and Narutard so I feel for you lol. By the way the way the Naruto manga is headed it looks like we will finaly get a Team 7 reuion about time. lol I wonder what will come of it.

  • omg i had to pause your video and comment on avatarded thats the most genius thing iv ever herd

    ps

claim the rights to that hahahhahh

  • I can't, there are already shirts available, I'm thinking of getting one. But then I run the risk of Narutards giving me a hard time . . .

  • @kalin666 hahahahahahaha it was a joke lol cayuse of avatar the blue ppl and where can i get a shirt haha

  • white people dress in asian clothing in an asian cultural world using asian martial art. so lame

  • earth kingdom will be asian, it'll be alright

  • First off duded Avatar is not an Anime it is a toon. Done by two Americans Mike and Brian. Second and Anime is a Anime based off of a Manga or comic. Japense comics that is. People seem to confused the two. I know. Just keeping you informed.

  • so an animated series in japan that is not based off of a manga is . . . .

  • Comment removed

  • i know avatar is toon done by american but the show is still asian cultural. second not all anime are base on manga most is all original some base on video game. i know because i watch a lot of anime. there are asian that look like anime character in other region of asia not east asia

  • Good review, I agree with you! I also have all the Avatar: the Last Airbender series.

I agree the Fire nation bends fire like the other Nations bend their elements, the fire nation does not need an outside source.

I am thinking that Shyamalan is dripping out these teasers to keep everybody guessing about his interpretation of the story.

But, there are some elements that he MUST get accurate, the Water Nation being blue eyed for one & wearing blue clothes. It sets a tone.

    Good luck in the Navy!

  • good to see your making videos again.

i think the story will be as accurate as possible, but there is no way they could capture the environments. maybe they could make them really pretty, but not the fulll mood of each nation.

  • You mean ship. Boats only refer to submarines and smaller vessels that fit onto ships. ;)

  • That's not how the song goes, srsly :P

  • Joining army is immoral. Especially if it's an army of a superpower.

  • I think the military needs as many people working on their light side mastery as possible.

  • I'm not entirely sure your side is entirely light. For example whole middle-east region is living testament to various European/US/Soviet geopolitical fuck-ups. And there are many other regions where the benefit of US military involvement is at least questionable (like Vietnam or Cambodia). But to be fair, I think that most of your screw-ups were done out of ignorance rather than some straight evil intention.

  • My side is me, and I help where I can, but I'm only 1 person.

  • nice

  • There's confirmation from spoilers from the rough preview screening that firebenders can not create their own fire. They usually have some source of fire with them however. There are a few exceptions to this rule though apparently.

  • that can mean that strong enough firebenders like iroh and azula can extract heat from sun. depends on the strength of the firebender.

  • Wow, nice to see a new video!

  • The first Ninja Turtles movie was a good transition.

  • I'll give you that one.

  • Michigan? I thought you were Canadian.

My god, don't join the military, man. Are you crazy? Have the government own your ass for as long as they need you is not worth the money.

  • contract is 4 years, if Obama gets reelected, I'll extend the contract

  • That's what they told my friend from high school who joined the Marines. He's now been in for 8 years because they wouldn't let him out.

Come on, you're too pretty to be in the military. Can't you just model or something?

  • I've been called many things, pretty is not one of them.

  • I know I've been calling you pretty for at least 2 years on youtube. :)

Don't do it, man. Think of your subscribers. Don't we have rights too?

  • dragonballz evolution, duh

  • I guess I'm forgetting that movie on purpose

  • Never watched the animated show...saw clips and advertisements, etc.

Saw the movie trailer...thought...HOLY SHIT! That looks awesome!

Doubt I'll go to the theaters for it, though.

  • I srsly suggest watching series, if you subscribe to any rental service, the discs are available. Hell, season 1 is streaming on Netflix, that's how I saw it the first time. It starts off kind of simple, but then it's in full swing by mid-season. Season 2 and 3 are downright intense.

  • the anime elements were all chibi, there was a juxtaposition between the "real" show in Batman form and the "anime" show as abstract chibi expressions. Some ppl like it, I understand, it's not my style. In Avatar, the most poignant emotional moments are usually characterized by subtle facial expressions, which I think is far more effective.

  • I was in the navy, so if you want any advice or information about navy life just send me a message. Also, don't listen to you recruiter, they are not known for their honesty. I was a brown shoe though, so if you are going black shoe I wont be much help. Good luck.

  • I think by shoe color you mean Enlisted versus Officer. I'm going enlisted, with some college I take it I might start as high as E-3. I might pursue officer training later, but I think I'm a sweat and machine grease sort of guy at heart, we'll see. Are there any sort of jobs that are more prone to base time? I'd like to spend as much time with my wife as possible.

  • No, a black shoe is a boat chuck (person who is more prone to being assigned to ships and ship detail) and a brown shoe is on the aviation side of things. I was a AD (aviation mechanic mate) I was in 4 years and stationed in cali most of that time. I went out on one cruise (sea deployed work) which lasted six months. If you take a job that does not have to do with aviation, you will be on the boat all the time. You will ship out for a month here, six months there.

  • Dont worry so much about E-1 through E-3. I went in as an E-2, my husband went as E-1 and he made second class before I made third. So, how fast you move up depends on (A) how hard you work, (B) how full your rate is and (c) how much they like you. I would suggest you go the aviation route ( i am biased thought)

  • No matter what you will have a SEA_SHORE rotation (as long as you are not a yellow or green coat) I think they are called ABE but I am not sure. They direct the flight deck ( it is the worst of all possible existences, don't do it.) anyway, I was on a shore assignment for two years, then I would have had four years of sea duty. To be honest, if I could do it all over, I would go into the air force or coast guard.

  • if you look up navy jobs on the About(dot) com website you can see what all of the rates are. You rate will be determined by your asvab score. If you get an intelligence billet, I dont know what happens, but I do know some of those people go to A school( the general school for your job) for two or more years.

Also, look up Creo rankings for the job you want, the lower the numbers are the faster you will move up in rank. Also, make sure you dont go in un-designated ( if they still do that) --

  • Hey, I didn't notice the firebending thing at all. Maybe the writers/director thought they were too powerful compared to the other benders?

And hooray for Appa. Now just ditch Momo and I'll be happy (I'm of the opinion that he's one of those elements that won't translate well from animation.

  • IMDB says that Dee Baker is doing the voices for Appa and Momo, just like the show.

  • I wonder if the fire from the brazier isn't something done as a compromise of sorts. Easier to say they pull fire from the container and use it than explain how. If I'm remembering correctly, the other benders require their component element be available. But maybe I'm way off on that. At any rate, my two cents on it. Trailer looked fantastic! I'm super stoked about it! -Max

  • I think that firebender may be Asif Mandvi, who is playing Zhao

  • I think you're right, that is Zhao, no sideburns :(

  • you're review is spot on...but this doesn't mean the movie is gonna be great ..just because the cgi were amazing doesn't mean the movie's gonna be good.....just like 2012 the effects were amazing the movie is garbage...just don't mess this up m.night..cuz the cartoon was the best of all cartoon made in america..

  • Well, I don´t know a lot about the American navy- but the danish navy do shape you up and makes you a lot more aware and "clean" (you mind details and make sure that everything is right and perfect).

This basic things are very important at sea, so expect that you will be more effective and aware of details =)

Anyway, the navy rocks =D I come from a military family, and all of the people from my family who has been in the navy, have been very glad and satisfied with the job =)

  • Yeah, I think it's pretty much the same for the American Navy. Everyone has to be clean when you're all living on a boat together.

  • Also have to be meticulously organized. Or you had to be fifteen years ago. These days, I hear they're having frat parties on the flight decks, and orgies in the hangars. And I wouldn't be surprised at all if they dropped the requirements for PMS. I know they decided to scrap the OBAs as "too costly," which is absurdly stupid if you ask me.

  • Not up on the acronyms yet, what are OBAs and PMS? I'm almost positive by context you're not talking about menstruation.

  • PMS was the "Preventative Maintenance System." It was explained that it was developed out of the necessity to have working life boats and "firemains" {fire suppression systems} when you needed them, and so maintaining them was critical.

"OBA" means "Oxygen Breathing Apparatus." This was a small device that attached to a gas-mask like device. It was worn on the chest and could provide oxygen for 15 minutes. It was used because portals {small doors} can be tiny.

  • Case and point DBZ! That shit was stupid.

  • hell the show was as intellectual Wrestling, srsly, what should we have expected?

  • I expected Piccolo to be green and not look like a flying penis.

  • lol

  • I think the firebender uses the fire from the brazier cuz its easier than making his own? like takes less energy and u can make more in less time? its probable that they can make their own, that one just didn't.

  • maybe . . . . we'll see

  • don't apologize! Avatar: The Last Airbender is a work of art.

  • man you have an eye for detail. Maybe they wanted fire bending to be like the other kinds, all of which work with materials of their object.

I agree with you, the firebenders were more "electron benders" and so there is a material, just not a visible one (until you turn it into fire/electricity)

  • yeah, it's just all around, like Air

  • Finally, a new video from Kalin!

  • how can you not be an appa fan?

  • only bad people are not Appa fans, and they should be ostracized

  • good eyes! didn't see appa!

  • You won't find a drill instructor in the Navy. Unless they've added them in the last forty-five years.

  • but someone WILL yell at him to help him work out... yeah?

  • Apparently they're Recruit Division Commanders ranked from Petty Officer Second Class (E-5) through Senior Chief Petty Officer (E-8). Of course, the Navy HAS to be different . . . .

  • I think with the effects they have now airbender could be great as live actions.

but m.night... if it's one of his good films, yes, if not, good special effects.

I just hope they cast Ang well and that M.Night is helping the effects tie together and the story is the original one.

btw, the last airbender is one of the better stories told period... very good.

  • I also didnt get where the fire wil come from

  • Any idea what rate you are going to pick? Once you are in boot changing your mind is near impossible so be sure before you ship out. And good luck!

  • no, haven't taken the asvab? yet or had my physical. Did get a 95 on my practice, so we'll see how the real thing goes.

  • with scores like that you will get a pretty awesome job, they will try and make you a nuke I bet...don't become a bubble head (sub guy) those people are really strange.

  • I'm way too tall for sub work
