  • HAHAHAHAHAHA!!!

  • @angel4u32 well it can happen any term and I think I got mine from hot dogs. I tried not to eat any processed meat, but I couldn't hold anything I ate down, so whatever I could keep down I ate. Listeria can cause miscarriages, premature birth and severe infection in the baby. Thank God for the doctor that I had. But just to let any other pregnant person know, avoid processed meat, including sandwich meat, hotdogs, pepperoni, anything that's processed avoid. You can get Listeria from thatstuf

  • @angel4u32

    6 months is not 5 months. Where do we draw the line? Not everyone who is born lives. It just doesn't work that way.

  • @Surrealist6 A lot of 28 weekers also have a thin chance of making it. I've heard of some who only live for about 20 minutes, and yes a 28 weeker does suffer a lot. They have to stay in an incubator for about 2 months sometimes more, they have blood transfusions, can develope serious g.i. infections end up having heart defects sometimes (which my daughter no longer has anymore). They may not have as many complications, but 20 years ago most were not expected to live.

  • @Surrealist6 Abortion is wrong. That is a human being and a life that a pregnant mother carries. We don't need to be pretending we are God and taking a child's life just because we want to live life the way that we want to. I can understand if there is a serious medical issue involved, where they can not save the baby and the mom is at risk too, then I can understand. These parents wanted their baby. When it comes to the state making decisions for the parents, that is out of line, seriously

  • Dear angel4u32,

    I saw a baby delivered at 20 weeks. What would you have us do? Nothing can be done and all you CAN do is comfort that baby until it is in peace. Have you no mercy? If you saw the things we put that child through in the 12 long hours of his life, you would know it is wrong.

  • @angel4u32 I had an infection and the hospital staff had tried to slow down my contractions and hold out on me having my daughter until I was 32 weeks, but my daughter was in fetal distress and every time they gave me something to slow the contractions, they would just get worse. When she was born, she had a rash all over her body and the infection had eaten almost half of the placenta. I had Listeria, which is very rare. I got it from processed meat, just to let other new mom's to be know.

  • @angel4u32 You are right we should never play God. Who are we to know whether a person's going to live or die. Check out Don Piper "90 minutes in heaven". There are miracles. My little girl is one of them too. They only gave her a 50%chance of survival. My daughter was 6 months gestation too. She's doing great now.

  • Look at "In Memory of Ella Rose Cook" She was born at 21 weeks herself. That tells you that this baby isn't the only one who went through that.

  • @angel4u32 How early was you nephew. Just so you know they are fighters and very fiesty babies. My daughter who is very healthy now, I took her to get blood work done and it took 3 people to do it, she is that strong and that much of a fighter.

  • My daughter was born at 28 weeks and some of the pictures that I've seen of aborted babies look like they were 28 weekers too. Makes me sad. I am pro-life. I pray that hospitals never get to where they are completely deciding for the mom what they need to do with a baby's life. But preemies are tough and that baby could have made it if they would have just tried to save him.

  • No, what's dangerous, is the ignorance this dude is basing his feelings on

  • Can a baby that is only 5 and 1/2 months developed survive without being in the hospital for the remainder of its life? (seriously, I don't know, not trying to argue)

    And I thought laws on abortion were supposed to be on the state level?

    Also, I agree that what they did was wrong, but you should get your news from a variety of sources. The Mail is an ultra right wing production. I'm a liberal, and I still don't get all of my news from NPR.

  • i think it is sick that the hospital didn't help to save the baby and in turn KILLED this innocent child. BUT this baby would have had a very slim chance of surviving

  • its has nothing to do with freedom of choice

  • You are CRAZY!! The baby would have never survived! Get a clue. The choice to not spend money on a fetus that has virtually no hope for survival is NOT the same thing as murder. Why not 20 weeks, or even 15? You have to draw the line in the sand somewhere!

  • I can't see how this has anything to do with abortion.

  • Comment removed

  • ANOTHER PROLIFE LIE, huh? There is not ONE abortion procedure today that would allow an infant to live. Youre tlaking about saline abortion which did produce live infants, BUT isnt used anymore for that reason. Tell me which abortion can produce a live child. Come on, prove your ass is right!!

  • are you all so ignorant? it is not sarah's fault her baby died, the law stating that a baby under 22 weeks is not viable for help is sick, if this happened to you, you would not be saying any of these things, the only reason you are, is because you have not experienced the pain and the suffering sarah has been through, why dont you comment when you know something about it more than the basics yeah?

  • oh and if the mother really wanted the baby to live so bad then she should have done a better job of being an incubator for it.

  • imagine a kid who's 17, they're 2 days away from being 18 and the kid tried to buy booze from an off-license. The dude behind the counter is all "okay, here's sum booze THANKYOU PLZ" and the kid is like "sweet" but then a cop pops up and shoots them in the head cos the law is the law. gotta be 18, NOT 17, no matter how close their 18th birthday is!

  • this video is retarded. the cut-off point is 22 weeks. 22 WEEKS! NOT 21 weeks and 5 days!

    like what is the point of having regulations, laws, rules of any kind if we don't stick to them??

  • Exactly what I was thinking... 22 Weeks is NOT 21 Weeks and 5 Days for real. It could have been one day too.

  • It could have lived !!!

  • @maria39208

    no it could not have lived

  • Again there are fates worse then death. First consider the survival rates of babies born alive after 23weeks is 11%, after 22 weeks 1 %

    Before 22 weekks is extreamly rare.

    The decsion by doctors not to preform heroic measures on the baby is based on that knowlage and the fact that even if the baby could survive it would likely have brain damage and other severe complications, or they may likely only be able to prolong its life a few more days or weeks for it suffer.

  • I see you are thumbed down for your truthful comment. I thumbed you up because even though everyone is all "omg babies must live, life is a miracle, let things live live live"

    No Doctor sat there an thought "Let's kill this baby out of eveilness" Doctors make calculated decisions based on success of what they do and risk involved.

    All the anti abortionists would happily see people grow up living cruel, miserable lifes with their illnesses and conditions to save 'a little baby!'

  • Thanks Yes it difficult to stomach but, But in reality people have to make tough choices and live with them. On one hand we instinctualy would even give our own life to save our offspring. while The other side our brain can acknowledge a outcomes benefits denfinatly dont outweigh its risks.

  • fuck free health cair this is the shit that obama wants fuck him to.

  • yeap, this whhat pro choicers fight for? a CHILD to die? lovely way of thinking, well done foca!! well done.

  • i hate FOCA

  • wow.....must be a pro choice doctor!

  • Watch this You Tube video:

    Abortion Pictures The Religious-Reich Lie

  • More liberal treachery. This is kind of thing margaret sanger would be proud of.

    They'll have to answer for this one day.

  • Things just like this has happened in the united states, youtube search obama and partial birth abortion and you will find a vid of a nurse who testified to congress about babies who survived the initial abortion and were just left out to die.

  • Stop FOCA! Hopefully, Jayden's death will not be in vain, and his mother will speak out against abortion! Save all babies, unborn and born!

  • Crazy! So sad for the mother and child, what happened to pro-choice? The doctors were pro-death...

  • The abortion industry sees babys as dollar signs. They have shut down that part of humanity that recognizes the value of life concerning the unborn. These monsters dismember, dissolve and leave their 'mistakes' to die, suffering unspeakable misery. We must stop this oxymoron called the Freedom of Choice Act. It is a Death Act. Murder, legalized by heartless tyrants to support their worship of the almighty dollar.

  • @iprazhm says: The abortion industry sees babys as dollar signs/ It is a Death Act. Murder

    ~~~~~~~~~~~~ PROLIFE LIAR!! These doctor would make more money birthing these babies over aborting them.
    PROLIFE LIAR... if its murder, why arent 50 million women in prison for the crime? keep being ignorant, the more you are, the better for prochoice. we thank you for your help!
  • @Sueezee1 Got an anger management problem much? Or is that guilt?
  • Though I am pro choice I do agree that this hospital was at wrong for what happened. It was her choice to keep the baby so the hospital should've did as she requested. Those doctors were very wrong, for what they did.
  • When Obama signs the freedom of choice act which has the backing of the pro-choice crowd,the same thing will happen here
  • Only at hospitals who would do such things.
  • @XxShyneN09xX What if she chose not to keep the child after it was born? Should they have just let him die? Shoot, man, I was born premature. Are premature children really that inferior? That we should just let them die?
  • @XxShyneN09xX
    Unfortunately the chances of a child born this early are next to nothing. Next to nothing. Does it make sense to try to save EVERY fetus Every time? Live people who have a good chance could use that millions of dollars worth of care. A baby that premature would cost millions if it survived but sadly it would not. Just because you WANT your baby to live does not mean we should put it through hell to make you happy. (not you- a metaphorical you)
    signed, a hopital employee who knows
  • This is pure evil..this will happen in the US.and it goes deeper and deeper. Eugenics. Such a shame!
  • No way! this is unbelievable! My heart breaks for this woman.
  • This is BARBARIC!!!! SHE has a right to request care for her child! Put those DOC's on trial & yank their licenses!!!! BASTARDS! Sorry gerard, I know how you feel about that language...but...DAMMIT!!!
  • This is an outrage!!! How can anyone deny that poor baby medical treatment? How could they ignore the mother's pleas, and just let that baby die? Far too many people are becoming heartless and cruel in this world. However, we should have seen it coming. Those most vulnerable always get trampled on by those without a conscience, and sadly, not only do many condone and support it, many believe it's their right to do so.
  • If the British tried to save babies like this and failed, they might have to count them as infant mortality statistics, which would push down their supposedly lower infant mortality rate to the point where they'd be equal with the United States (which they actually are if both systems counted the same way). Those poor bloody Brits would be left with little to brag about with regards to health care then, especially considering the patient lines and really lousy dental care they have.
  • continued:
    Essentially, the UK, just like Cuba, treat premature babies in a ghoulish fashion so they can appear like saints when bragging about their allegedly great health care to everyone else.
  • Many conservatives like myself have said that liberalism is a form of insanity. It's not as if there's simply a group of people with an issue of hating for ANYONE to die so lets oppose the death penalty AND abortion. NO, it's "let's hate what's RIGHT!" These liberals scream over the "right" to slaughter unborn children, but they oppose the death penalty.
    On that note I hate calling opposition to the death penalty "compassionate" because it disrespects the value of the murder victim's life.
