  • my god !... we can see how it is difficult to direct a movie with ballet scenes. very spécial !!!

  • She wasn't even on pointe most of the movie.. :( but I'm a dancer myself and trust me ballet isn't easy! giver her some credit! :)

  • mila is flirting with benjamin?? wtf??

  • @vickydoubleyou just for the film ! remember

  • @vickydoubleyou Did you even see the movie?

  • If Aronofsky had done a "Center Stage" and used an actual dancer in the lead then whole premise of a person mentally degenerating wouldn't have worked/been as effective as it did with an accomplished actress like Portman.

Oh and when Aronofsky threw out that 90% number out and Lane called him on it did you REALLY expect Aronofsky to just own up to "exaggerating"?

  • I thought that she acctually did the foutettes! Im quite disapointed now :(

  • I actually heard that it was 1 YEAR of training. and I dont care if she did the fouette things or not. I just dont like that when her stunt double claimed to do most of the dancing or at least the REALLY difficult parts Natalie and Darren claimed that she didn't. If ballet is really that hard then they should have given more credit to her stunt double.

  • I wished people would stop going on about her dancing. I dance ballet so i know how hard it is, but i am telling you that 6 months worth of intensive training hasn't earned her nothing. She may not be able to do fouettes, but i can believe she danced most of the scenes in this movie.

  • @xsexyminxyx Doesn't Natalie have past dancing history? I mean it may have been when she was a child but muscle has memory. 6 months worth of intensive training obviously had her learn enough to do some of the dancing in this movie and I also agreed with your statements. I think if you've been dancing for a while... dancers like you and me would LOVE a 6 month intensive program if they are serious about ballet. I know I would. LOL... I would only hope for something like that.

  • this film is a masterpiece

  • SHUT UP about Natalie Portman not doing the fouettes or whatever. This movie is a work of art, and part of that has to do with the AMAZING acting Natalie did.

  • L O V E the movie

  • SSO COOl

  • click. there. 100 Likes and 0 Dislikes :)

  • hey natalie see 2:40 mila is flirtting with your husband???

  • @raccoonxeyesxx She has only trained for 6 months!!!!!! it takes ages to get fouttes!! give the girl a break she did very well for someone who has only trained in ballet for 6 months. Well done Natalie <3

  • She was just jumping to create the illusion that she was doing the fouettes? She didn't even attempt to do a few? :/

  • @raccoonxeyesxx Yeah, Natalie didn't do the serious dancing by a long shot...

  • @raccoonxeyesxx u think she was either warming up, or making herself out of breath, not trying to do the fouettes

  • @raccoonxeyesxx is that what she was doing? i don't get it! how would that look like she was doing fouettes if she wasn't turning her head to spot or anything?

  • @raccoonxeyesxx no she did them but the dance is filmed in pieces, she did the jumps to catch up to where she'd be in the music to land the final pose

  • @raccoonxeyesxx

6 months of training and you expect her to do fouettes well enough for the camera? Come on now.

  • @Sambucca she did a year of training before that

  • Just shows you how much work goes into making a movie

  • breathetaking film, love natalie<3

  • This is so cool.

  • Natalie Portman 'said' she danced and did about '85%' of the dancing herself, according to Sarah Lane, the ballerina double in Black Swan. She mislead people purposely to think she actually did most of the dancing. That's unethical. And who knows how much of the engagement news, pregnancy news, lesbian scene and her 'dancing performance' as a ballerina contributed to her Oscar win....That's not good acting that's just putting all the right variables together.

  • i wanna film a movie

  • Thank you very much! :)
