  • The album is "Middle Cyclone." not Cyclones.

Thanks for posting. She is just wonderful all the time.

  • This is a great version, but Nilssons version puts tears in my eyes.

  • I didn't even notice the music..........your red hair and milky white skin are driving me crazy!!!!!

  • listening to this...and knowing that I won't ever forget (you)

  • @salmonbomb & mistressdru -thanks for reply :-) . . . I'll keep looking :-)

  • i have fallen in love with this song and dont think i'll ever forget it.

  • was this song in "You've got Mail" when she was having to close up the shop around the corner?? please tell me there is a movie buff out there like me that will confirm this :-)

  • @nailchik7884 I know there was a song by Joni Mitchell... I think it was her and not Neko...

  • @nailchik7884 this album came out in 2009. so, no.

  • @salmonbomb Well, maybe not the Neko Case version was in the movie, but please remember that this is a cover of a Harry Nilsson song.

  • @jwasil an amazing cover!

  • @nailchik7884 perhaps the song you're thinking about is a song by joni mitchell called "river". i hope that helps

  • no one but her should ever sing this song...

  • harry nillson

  • Thank you for posting this masterpiece!

  • I also found this by accident, but I love it!

  • Macy Gray took a crack at it.

  • I love, love, love the keyboards in this! But I still like Joe Cocker's version best. His vocals just seem more raw and earnest.

  • @pa18sher im sorry but neko is just to amazing for that to be true

  • Gohsts you are right her voice is intoxicating. I can listen to this song over and over just to hear that sweet sound! One of her best even though it is a cover.

  • Crazy pianos! Love this delirious version as much as the more sober, precise one-piano version on Elvis Costello's Spectacle.

  • neko is so intoxicating.

  • Wow.. I seriously found this by pure accident and I'm SO happy I did!

  • A good version, but Marianne Faithfull's is still the best!

  • I can back up that while she is an amazing musician, she can be a real pill on stage. Still love her, though.

  • Best combination of voice and music I have come across in a long time. Intoxicating for me. Wish I could find more music like this but quality like this is very hard to find.

  • I was knocked out by this chic when I saw her on Leno... we went to see her at the Belly Up in Solana Beach with great anticipation... she was an utter cunt on stage, even directly insulting a young girl in the worst way for no apparent reason... several people around us were taken back by her arrogance and rudeness, we almost left. If you're considering going to see Neko I'd say your cash and time is better spent elsewhere.

  • @9doho9 I've seen Neko Case live a few times. Once in Vancouver, Montreal and at the Hillside Festival in Guelph Ontario. I ran into her in the merch tent, spoke with her briefly, She was very down to earth, not an ounce of attitude. Maybe she was just having a bad day?

  • @merchant2

every interview I've seen, every person I know who has seen her live, expresses the same opion as you: down to earth, a real person. I have a hard time believing Neko Case would do anything that 9doho9 has expressed. 9doho9 has posted this same comment on multiple neko case links. irrational vendetta? perhaps.

  • @9doho9 Oh well! You caught her on a bad day, so what, everybody has one, if you have not noticed! She's human not a robot that has to act the way you want her to. Get over it! There are worst things in this godforsaken world to deal with!

  • !!!

  • Always brings me to tears.

  • Love this cover by Miss Neko. She is one of a kind for sure...Harry is smiling down or up from where ever he is .....Saw her on Elvis's show. She was awesome....

  • Neko Case was on a show singing this last night (Elvis Costello's show).

She has the clearest voice. Easy to understand the words. A timely piece on the last day of 2009.

  • Okay, it is of vital importance Simon Cowell never hears this song and prostitutes it for another X-Factor Christmas number 1.

Are we all agreed never to talk of it when he's in the room?

  • Ha ha I heartily concur

  • great song

    great sound

  • Nice!

  • If you were ever interested, and I know you were at one point, this is what six pianos in a barn sounds like. Pure, unabashed decadence.
