I have a theory as to why they don't play music like this on the radio. Could you imagine all people stopping their cars on the freeway to get out and strut?
@GhostAvenger620 so so very true! my kids look at me crazywhen I tell them about the power of the "jazz flute" they think it's gay. What ever! I know "Chase Me" brought thehouse downwhen I was at teen dances! They don't have them ANYMORE...
@Qu33ni3V Wow, your kids think jazz flute is gay? Whenever I hear jazz flute I think of Huey P Newton. Am I wrong, because as of late I have such a contempt towards rap and hip hop music today. Snoop's show Fatherhood featured an even where he was honoring his wife with the Gap Band and you could see he was feeling the music. Now, since he is only a few years older than me, grew up around the same O.G. cats I did, why on Earth can't he promote that sound instead of all that garbage ass rap?
@GhostAvenger620 and I still get angry whenever they rap on a R&B song. You know I can't find the lyrics to Jonell' Round and Round without that damned hated Method Man version!!!! They should have left that song alone cuz that song was the cut!
HE,HE, REMINDS OF DEBBIE N EMILIANO CORTEZ ON SOLANA AVE, IN SOUTH SIDE S.D. , ON HER QUIENCIANERA PRATICE WIT JAMES N DEM........... LIVE AS FUCK SHIEEET!!!
Believe it or not, this song was the one played on the radio during, yes, TRACK season. I grew up in Fairfield, CA and the are from Vallejo, which ist about 40 away from where I was. So, you will get the "Jeopardy" question right, and win!
Believe it or not, this song came out during Track season.....I wanna say circa 1978. They also are from Vallejo, which is about 40 minutes from where I lived. This will always be the jam. What has happened to new musik???
Funk Music was just TOO much . The musical arrangements were outta sight !!
It seemed almost impossible that instruments could be played that way !!. GOD bless the musicians back then. You should be paid millions of dollars !!!!
@2maxxjazz < yO' DEMS WAS REALLY GUD TIMES FOR ME! i WS 15 yrs. n jammn ta' dis in da 64 malibu, rag top, cruisn wit James! Make me feel young again, he,he..
