Raven wasn't affected by FoxDie because his DNA wasn't in the black list of FoxDie. FoxDie was created by Naomi Hunter, who was working for the Patriots. FoxDie only affect specific targets, and the targets of FoxDie were: Decoy Octopus, Baker(Pres. of ArmsTech), Liquid Snake, Solid Snake and Big Boss

Well yes, that is the main idea, but that point is of logistic matter. That was something that I like to think that in a way Snake was haunted by the warriors he killed. Unlike the others Raven was diferent. He sought not his end but another existence. In some tribes it is well known that Fallen warriors live on through the opponent that defeated them.
