I see no reason to compare Marilyn Monroe to Gwen Stefani at all, aside from the fact that they both bleach their hair. Monroe was an icon of the 1950s, a figure suited to that time period. She was also a very neurotic unhappy woman. Stefani is a talented singer in the modern age who appears to have her life very much on track and is successful on many levels. Both were talented in different ways.
