I have two Boston Terriers at home and yes the sister always made a fool of her brother. She always use different kinds of ideas to take over her brother's bone, one of them like she pretends to go over the other side and bark as if someone is at the front door, then when the brother came over, she snatched the bone away.

@obenrob not really..I have both and the difference would be the body structure.Bostons are taller with leaner bodies and legs while Frenchies follow the bodies of american bulldogs;stout,short,muscular with short stubby limbs :3

To address @TheEricko22 comment, both frenchies and bostons come with tails that are already that short. They're tails are not docked, they're born that way, some with longer stubs than others. There are times when you'll encounter some who have close to none. It depends on the breeding. Mine has one that's lop sided. He was born that way.

@kcaltman its natural for great danes ears to be cropped and looks ten times better when they are. cropped ears reduce the incidence of hematomas and the separation of the ears skin layers where blood collects whenever they shake their heads real hard.

thats a bit harsh to say owners should be ashamed and not own dogs just to let you know since i have both dogs and love them to death.

@kcaltman Yeah and typically people crop to make the dog look more aggressive and hostile. Crazy, it'd be one thing if you dog has a fibrous tumor and needed surgery, another if you just want it to look a certain way. Then again I guess we allow those sort of things with modern breeds, especially the brachcephalic dogs who look cute but huff because of it. ( I can't preach, I can hear my frenchie snorting right now)

@tiemedown you dont crop bostons ears. just tape. i have a boston and since his ears were so large and had trouble staying up i researched and it said just to tape them when they are around 3-4 months just for a few weeks. just some masking tape on the inner ear. creates better circulation for them, same with great danes

@igormley Yes I am aware, you do the same for Frenchies whose ears are not rising properly to take strain off the cartilege. My problem is when people take the surgical route not for the dog's health but for an appearence consistent with dog fighting ( this would never be applied to bostons of course...they arent big on fighting)

Our Boston is a sly one sometimes too. She always pretends that she needs to go outside, because she knows our spaniel will come running to go investigate the garden--leaving whatever comfy space she covets freshly available. We open the door for her and the other dog comes flying, and she instead goes running back into the house to claim the now warm space. Clever, clever girl!

@Passion. Boston Terrier's tails are sometimes straight and others are sort of like a cork-screw. Either way I have seen Boston Terriers whose taile were not docked and they were fine.

Not only is it already WAY too old, but, unless you are a qualified veterinarian, it is ILLEGAL for you to attempt to do such a thing yourself. @TheEricko22 No, you have to cut it basically the day they are born. My Jack Russell had a baby and we wanted to cut her tail on the third day but it was too late. If you don't cut it the first day the nerves grow in and I think the bones solidify or something? Either way, it's much too late to cut his tail! Sorry!

When our bulldog wants the stick our OEB is playing with, she prances over and pretends she wants to play. When our OEB drops the stick to go play, the bulldog snatches it up and darts off with it, leaving the poor OEB wondering what happened.
