  • LOL @ robo-cat and robo-hairballs.

  • Sparkman's Theme is amazing.

  • megaman 3 is the shit :)

  • I have this game on my wii.

Sadly I cant listen to the music because my sister thinks its "Noise"

I slapped her and put my headphones in the TV.

  • Magnet Man FTW!

  • 2, 3, and 9 have the best soundtracks by far. 2 is my personal favorite but I can understand someone liking 3 or 9 better.

  • MM4 is still the best of the series, sad that it didn't get a video too. The level design, boss fights, soundtrack, and silky smooth framerate made it leagues better than 2 OR 3.

  • @FoxyDude915 ROFL 4? 2 & 3 r the only memorable ones.. just read the other comments...

  • Best game in the series in my opinion. My only complaint would be that the mega buster feels so much more useless for taking down robot masters than it was in the other Mega Man games.

  • not the best game in the world, but still a very fun game, with music matching up to mm2's okkusenman

  • MM2 is more popular because it was made first, though the 3rd one is better. Like with the Godfather and the Godfather 2.

Did Megaman 2 have the slide? No, so we had to waste the flash when we could've slid through the lasers!!! Fail!

Did Megaman 2 have Rush, the best robot dog ever? No it had generic items. Fail!

Did Megaman 2 have Protoman, the best character in the series? No, it didn't.

    Epic fail!

MM2 is my 2nd favorite MM, but I love MM3 10x better. Thumb me down, I don't care.

  • @ArtiphTD Actually, I CAN do it, but when you were a little kid, were you able to do it? Didn't you get frustrated out of the fact you had to waste Quickman's weakness because Megaman didn't have a slide? I mean seriously, what little kid could dodge those lasers? Being a single pixel off means death.

  • This game kindled my love of rock music as a child.

  • 3>2

  • @helikestv 2<3 It looks better so :)

  • best. music. ever.

  • MM 2 and 3 is the best IMO

  • My fav game of all time. excellent game play, challenging stages, and one hell of a soundtrack!!

  • What exactly is the theme of Top Man's stage. It's listed as a green house...but what's with the cat minibosses? And why is Top Man in a green house?!

  • any idea who the original composer Japanese of this music is?

  • @Lightiel1 Wikipedia is your friend-- the composer is Yasuaki Fujita. He did a great job on this soundtrack, but I liked Tateishi's Skull Castle theme better (MM2)

I loved the Spark Man theme until I kept dying in that stage...

My favorite is probably Gemini Man.

  • 4:08 is like epicness kicking you right in the nuts bitches

  • @FloMonKish man! You totally have no idea what you're talking about! It's clearly more like epicness humping your face....then kicking you in the nuts.

  • @RookFrjosa lolll

  • MM2 and 3 were the best of the series, and some of the best NES games ever. They are classics. I thought 2 was the most fun, but 3 was close behind and had some improvements play-wise.

Best songs of MM3: Magnet man, snake man, shadow man, spark man, Top Man, 2nd Wily theme.

  • I have always felt that this was the best game in the series. Both gameplay and soundtrack wise. Everything in this game was an improvement. Rush, Protoman, the slide, tighter controls, longer levels, improved graphics, better story, and in my opinion - a much better overall soundtrack. MM2 really set up the game for greatness but I feel MM3 perfected the series. After 3 the original games started to lose their "it" factor

  • ytcracker. dg for lief.

  • anyone know what the song is that starts at 1:28??

  • @thewadamsthatbe stage select

  • hmm, megaman 2 and 3 had both amazing soundtracks, i could say which one is better, but i choose MM2, only for dr wilys castle stage 1, that is not a masterpiece, is something higher than that. is my fave soundtrack of all games not only of nes, of but every console that exists.

  • No Magnet Man music in this video is an absolute travesty.

  • they just don't make music this good in games these days, and on the slight chance they do you cant hear it over all the gun shots.

  • he just owns AT THESE old school nes games

  • My parents divorced when i was 3. Nintendo made a sad childhood so happy!

  • Top Man... The worst MM boss ever made.

  • @Undechypheredcrab Could've been worse. If they'd waited a few more years he woud've been Pog Man.

  • @Aphexwolf But pogs are just incredible. Much more efficient and practical than spinning around only in mid-air touching the boss, and causing instant death.

  • rocknroll

  • This is the coolest channel on YouTube! Two thumbs up!!!

  • The Protoman whistle orchestra is my favorite song from the original series.

  • This may be the greatest video game ever made. Period.

  • 2:45 is my favorite song

  • @unclebully7913 Snakeman's theme is possibly the greatest boss theme ever. My favorite by far it's amazing!

  • I earned my Junior Woodchuck Reagan Youth Psychic War Campaign Merit Badges on this one \m/

  • Looks like this video was straight ripped off of SDA. :(

  • This guy playing is a power sliding fiend!

  • Im waiting for ppl to start mixing this stuff and making some serious beats out of em..the title for MM3 would sound badass

  • @redgeeteeeye I've always wanted to do exactly that. I'm close to getting off my ass and actually finally doing it now that I've been listening to this for an hour

  • All aboard the nostalgia wagon! :D

  • classic feel, incredible tunes

  • i agree, i grew up with mm3 and have to say that the soundtrack is better than mm2..altho mm2 has better gameplay and boss's

  • 1 person hit the wrong button.

Mega Man is a LEGENDARY video game character and the franchise has some of the best music in ivdeo game history!

  • it always makes me laugh how they didn't even play the full versions of 2 tracks in MegaMan 3. The 2nd one being the intro to a Wily Stage but that one wasn't a big deal.

  • 0:39

What do thoose blue things do?

  • @CMOODO refill weapon energy

  • every single mega man game has a good sound-track

  • 2 sold a lot more copies than 3, so most people vote 2 as the best since it brings back the nostalgia for them. I think 2 had the more arcade-y, action oriented songs, while 3 was a bit more complex.

  • YEAH MY FAVOURITE GAME WHEN I WAS LITTLE! I HAVE PLAYED ALMOST ALL SERIES INCLUDING MEGA MAN X SERIES AND MEGA MAN ZERO SERIES THERE JUST THE BEST!AND THE ANIMATION IS GOOD!

  • this game had the best soundtrack of the whole series imo

  • 3 has the best NES Mega Man soundtrack and also the overall best soundtrack on the system.

  • ...It just dawned on me:

A part of why I like Jazz is probably due to Megaman 3.

  • @Testsubject909 Than I'm probably a metalhead cause of Mega Man 2 haha.

  • Before the game over theme at the end, the song before it sounds like Protoman whistling, super awesome! To be honest the mega man series as a whole has a great ost, (well 7's ost wasn't great but apart from that they're all great), I would say that for me, its 3 that has the best soundtrack.

  • wich is the music in 0:13? (Wihout the intro)

  • I know this has probably been said before in these comments, but where the hell are the magnet man, shadow man, and gemini man themes? I for one think the magnet man theme is easily the best one out of the entire mega man series.

That said, 3's music is better than 2's, but they both are so good.

  • you know, i actually am better than this at mm3. you could probably compare my skills to a TAS. problem is, i can get the stupid FCE Ultra to record an entire playthrough.

  • YTcraker - mega nerd is a great song with this track btw. go check it out

  • This can't touch MM2.

  • I just realized. the entire armcannon album I have consists of megaman music.

  • 2:45 snake man theme destroys

  • Eskimo64, this is Protoman's song. When you beat the game Megaman this is the song that plays as you revisit all the defeted robots including protman.

  • What the hell is that at 5:33..... is that not supposed to be a penguin robot?

  • proud to say my original nintendo still works & I still play this...mm3 had my fave music of all of em...memories of the summer and fall of 1990...before the decade took a turn for the worst!!!

  • :30 seconds in...that's when you KNOW, business is about to pick up. Absolutely awesome; such wonderful memories.

  • I played this once

  • @tehkevxor1983 Yea, i feel the same way. MegaMan 3 is my favorite of the nes games. Unlike a billion other nes gamers... I did not own MegaMan 2. I actually grew up with MegaMan 3.

Today, i understand and except that most people say MM 2 is a better game than MM 3. I even agree with them in a lot of ways. However... i will never agree with them when they say MM2 has the best soundtrack.

To me... MegaMan 3 HAS A BETTER SOUNDTRACK than MegaMan 2.

    There, I said it. :P

  • @Sonic2332 I agree, the only two tracks of MM2 I really like are Metalman and Wily Stage 1.

In MM3, I like almost every music, especially the title.

  • @Sonic2332

I started quite early, honestly one of the first games that sprouts to memory is Dragon Warrior. I had the rare childhood of having RPG gamers in my family. Actually, general gamers. Ninja Gaiden 1-2-3, Megaman 1, Final Fantasy 1, were all parts of my childhood.

I had played through Megaman 2 and enjoyed it, but Megaman 3 was the Megaman I had fallen in adoration for when I was a child. It remains to date my shining exemple of so-much-good content megaman that has yet to be revisited

  • @Sonic2332 As well as better design (there is no one most powerful weapon), greater replay value, and more interesting Robot Masters.

Yes, I prefer MM3 to MM2, which I find over-rated (still a great game, but not the pinnacle of Mega Man, IMO).

  • @Sonic2332 MM3 is a better game by comparison... better level design, better difficulty jumps. Epically long for an NES game! And it has the MM2 bosses =)

  • @Sonic2332

Same here. Grew up with Mega Man 3!! ^^

  • @Sonic2332 I agree. And I grew up with MM2 and not 3.

  • @Sonic2332 i been a gamer since 89 and youre right mm3 is the best in music and also game

  • @Sonic2332 Sorry, but Mega Man 3's soundtrack is forgettable compared to MM2's. That's not to say that MM3's is bad, it's still fantastic, but MM2's music is miles ahead. The tunes just stick in your head so much more.

  • I know everyone marks out to II being the best, but I am one of those few heathen acolytes that believes this one was the best traditional MegaMan. In my opinion, this and MegaMan X. Haven't played any of the Legends games/Tron Bonne, or any of the GBA/DS games.

  • I also consider this one as the best of the traditional series :)

  • I agree the only Megaman game for nes I owned as a kid was 2 I liked it sure but I always did neighbors favors and earned some extra money to rent this game as well as 4.

  • the second one was the best in terms of music imo

  • garudoh ftw!!

  • This is just brilliant...i remember playing this as a kid...wow,this is perfect man...thanks...

  • epic VGM ^^

  • When I was a kid I thought 3 would be the last game in the MegaMan series, how wrong (thankfully) I was.

  • WTF- no Gemini Man? oh well, can't make everyone happy LOL

  • megaman 3 theme title is seriously full of win.

  • Thats right, but Megaman V title theme have more win

  • MMV FTW!

  • I've had it stuck in my head for a week!

  • @misou808 Ne'er a truer word spoken.

  • i love the 'music in video games' series, but i dislike how every video is always speed run.

  • omg!! epic! +5 =)

  • my personal favourite megaman soundtrack; its so odd as a kid around 5-6 i would listen to the title opener repeatedly and never hit start because the song was THAT good.... i thought i was the only one but turns out alotta people feel the same way about that song and the music in general.

  • @esperlutz I have that same story! I remember at 5 or 6 years of age, watching the opening title screen come up with that music playing.... it would actually give me chill bumps!

  • Best soundtrack on the NES, Shadowman and Snakemans stages especially. My fav megaman ever.

  • So is SPARKMAN's. Very hard to forget. It's just non-stop high beats.

  • Don't forget Magnet Man! That shit is hella fun to play on the piano

  • Best game in the franchise, second best soundtracks of the original, behind 9

  • Classic

  • That first track is just brilliant in every possible way.

  • The fact that everyone has a different path is a testament to the design of the game.

  • u cant get bored of the first song

  • Well it has a slow beginning, but after it loops with the end so many times, the game seems to beg for you to push the start button.

What's cool and unique about old 8 bit Mega Man musics are the tom toms.

But you have to be a hell of a music composer to make music from those sounds.

    =)

  • just that little bluesy bit at the opening rocks 90% of all contemporary game music, then Shadowman's stage kicks it in the kidney's while it's down.

  • your gonna want to beat needle man first to get the rush jet...def the best way to go

  • yeah, but needle man's among the hardest (along with shadow man)

of course, that's in my opinion

  • as long as you got an e-tank u should be fine tho

  • the best game music ever. this, donkey kong, castlevania, final fantasy and zelda and silent hill 2.

  • Many people claim that Magnet Man is the appropriate Robot Master to beat first... That is so not true; he can practically kick your butt easily if you fight him with the Mega Cannon (which Mega Man used before he had the Mega Buster). That is why Top Man is the true first Robot Master to fight because of his simple pattern and movements.

  • If you can't figure out Magnet Man's attack pattern, you haven't been gaming very long. I personally always killed Magnet first

  • Magnet man is the easiest one to kill while taking 0 damage the whole time, everything is easily avoidable while doing maximum damage to him.

Top man is also easy, but to do maximum damage you have to eat the tops & only move when he scrolls to the other side of the screen.

  • i like spark man best

  • Gemini Man is my favorite music from this one

  • probally the best soundtrack on the NES, maybe only Ninja gaiden 1 can compete

  • man u make it seem so easy. it takes me forever just to get pass the first stage. lol. i wish i was a pro.

  • it's a speedrun

  • To me, the title theme just feels so emotional and passionate. That and Snakeman's theme are my favorites.

  • 太鸡巴厉害了

  • Watching these games and listening to the music of these games brings back memories from sooooo long ago. It makes me think how great gaming was then; imaginative, challenging, and most of all, fun. Todays games, while still fun, will never have the character that gaming did in the past. Retro-gaming forever!

  • FawdaJinn, I agree with you 100% to the fullest on every word you just said... you don't even know how much I feel that same way!

  • Amen to that :D

  • yeah its like 2 times harder than the game on console.

  • try it on a cell phone man,... the little buttons that are all awkward.

  • i had this game on my cell phone... its so hard.

  • Comment removed

  • some of the best music i ever heard on the NES

  • I completely agree. It's hard to have good scores for games, even these days with all the stuff we can do :p

  • Dude in terms of music games like this, Ninja Gaiden, Castlevania, Batman(NES) were ahead of their time and still remains kickass of this day and age

  • Heck yes, heck yes!

  • Man, I love the music to Mega Man 3...

  • 3 is the best .. this game had by far the BEST soundtrack of ANY game out there .. .love Spark Mans tune

  • You had to hang around to hear that epic intro sequence... KICK ASS.

  • damn, this is nostalgia all over again, could never beat all the bosses without the codes

  • lol

  • Epic soundtracks. We will still hear this for years to come.

  • I think this game had the best soundtrack of the NES era, Ninja Gaiden 1 is a close second though

  • Hi there! I totally agree and always thought I was the only one who though this!!!! this game had some great music!!!!!

  • lol watching this flawless (close enough) run of the game is pretty interesting too=)

  • Best vidoe game music ever

  • No doubt.

  • how did you get the entire last song?

  • It's in the NSF sound file for the game. Google Zophar and Chipamp and you can hear it as well.

  • You can hold up and A on the second controller during the ending, will continue to play while the animation gets frozen. (works for boss and bad guys too.)

  • was all this here tased or are you just that good at mega man

  • It's not me playing, but it's also not a TAS. Some guy out there is that good.

  • I was that good when I was a kid...but I suck now lol. Mega Man III was a hell of a lot more forgiving then the earlier ones, the original MM was retarded hard.

  • agree'd .. Mega Man 4 is pretty tough too. The best part of this game is the bots from mega man 2 coming back .. this game is easier but longer for sure

  • This game rule the world

  • thank u 4 posting :) this brought back so many memories. i totally called out the names of the weapons before they even came on the screen lol still remember em. the opening song & proto man's song are my faves from this sequal.

  • EPIC

  • when i was in iraq in 05 i would humm this shit on roof guard for 8 hours! mega man brought back good memories.

  • You should have petitioned your COs for a mega buster :p

  • haha. that would have been very interesting and fun. lol

  • This game is definately one of my all time favorites and it's music is one of the reasons why.

  • I got this game when i was a little kid. I loved it. I still do. lol althought my nintendo is a little busted up i still play from time to time XP

  • I honestly like this music more than Megaman 2. Megaman has some of the best soundtracks in gaming history.

  • ok lets see how good i am. theme, stage select, hardman, snakeman, sparkman, ability screen, protoman/ending, stage pick decision.

  • i was 9 when i nfirst played this and it took me my brother and sister who were 5 at the time to end it . best mega man ever!!!!! i remember crying when was over.

  • ah finally a vid with the hidden full ending/protoman theme.. thanks!

  • This was the very first Mega Man game I played when I was growing up. SO many memories are attached to the music, I love it.

Thank you for posting this video!

  • First Megaman game I played aswell. I was maybe...13-14? Great game.

  • Es la mejor banda sonora que ha tenido jamás un videojuego.

  • MM 3 has without a doubt the strongest soundtrack of all the MM games on the NES

  • for me its a toss up between this one and mm2
