@PATRICK141995 you just can't see the engine because we always give the front of the building to the ladders so they can make grabs from windows and access the roof... usually the engine goes to the hydrant and we stretch line...
@PATRICK141995 if you look closely, you can see as they start walking towards the building, a hose is off to the side, as jafrommeyer said, trucks take the closest part.
You can add on to hose, you cant add on to ladders :)
Why does the ladder crew always bring a fire extinguisher with him whenever they're going into a building? Is it so he can clear any flames away from wherever he has to vent?
I saw one thing wrong their the two guys that got off the truck did not have their waist straps on their pack hooked together. When u wear a pack like that it's the bottom straps then the shoulder straps
@atreyufan11091 So? The world isn't going to come to an end because their waist straps weren't done up. In case you haven't noticed it's quite common among the FDNY folks and I'm sure they could care a less if you think it's wrong or not.
@atreyufan11091 Uh no it's not waist strap then shoulder straps. Otherwise the damn waist strap will slide under your jacket and when you tighten the shoulder straps it pulls your jacket up to the top of your pants which is not where its supposed to be. I don't wear the waist strap for this particular reason. Because it doesn't give your jacket any slide room and it rides up and you get burned. Simple explanation
@TomTheGrom226 yeah, true, cant disagree with you there. im an irons boy through and through. although lately ive developed a real respect for the can and what it can do if used properly.
What is it with the dangling waist straps on their BA's? It looks sooo bad. I'm thinkin' it's another FDNYism as I see it all the time with these guys.
That ol' mechancal siren sounds great at the start of the clip!
that eq actually sounded pretty good... for an eq
