I was blown away when I heard this at the end of chapter 1. Completely. I've never experienced something like that before. I can't even begin to describe how impressed I am that the studio for Alan Wake even used this song. This is truly how it feels to have a fitting score, and it's something rare that I appreciate more than I think I should.
When I past that first part of the game and this song came on I was amazed how well it perfectly complimented the atmosphere of the game. Chills worthy.
Awesome its great that in the soundtrack they provided the original recording.I was blown away when i was playing the game and heard 2 Roy Orbison songs there great job!
Hey Everybody! I have just released my new electronic album “Sub-Zero” which is heavily inspired by the world and music of Alan Wake. If you're interested you can listen to the full album on my youtube channel, as well as download the album for free!
Roy Orbison - In Dreams UschisChannel2 < Thats the version from the game. They used the track that Roy Recorded in the 80s. I would have put the link but it wasn't letting me post it.
it was rather funny really think about it fighting darkness spiralling into a complete mistery on the edge of your seat then this awsome song lightens the mood and you dont know wether to laugh or cry xD
I was already loving Alan Wake, then when this song popped on I was like WOW! I hadn't heard this masterpiece in years. Roy's music continues to inspire and be relevant.
when i finish the episode 1 i'm pretty sure that everyone remember when alice and alan are stopping in front of the bridge for the diver's isle they are looking at each other like two lovers and alan smiling like if the story was going to be a fairy tale. well its the part i like the most and i love the ending to
As soon as i finished the first chapter, I was literally in tears. I just cannot seem to believe how well this game was put together. Its like watching t.v. without the cheesy angles and overboarding advertisements. This is my fix, until Quantic Dream decides to hit me with a new "Indigo Prophecy".
looks like this game takes a lot of elements from David Lynchs works. I mean the town in the game is like twin peaks and this song is in his movie Blue velvet
This song is amazing, and it had me almost hypnotized when it started to play. From the car crash scene up until the a little ways through chapter 4, I was busy hoping that the events of this game wasn't really a delusion, like Hartman was saying. Forgive me Alan, I'll never doubt you again!
It may not be the perfect game, but it damn near comes close in the survival horror genre. Half the elements of SH is setting the mood. And this song does so much for Alan Wake.
When this song started playing at the end of chapter 1, I was like..this is going to be the game of a lifetime. Now in the middle of chapter 4, and when I heard the poet and the muse, I was just in utter disbelief about how awesome a soundtrack the game had, and how amazing the game was in general. I bought the game used, and just bought the limited edition on ebay to get all the extra stuff

Never heard this song before Alan Wake.
Bought the CD and burned it to my mp3 (yes, I'm a little old fashioned) and the soundtrack at the end of chapter 4 was cool, too.
Completed the game in a week. One of the best I've played this year.
