Here's a post on a YouTube video of this same show shot just a few feet away:
He actually cried. This is what he said later:
The last time I remember it bringing me to tears was when we were playing Amoebe records store in Los Angeles and I was singing 'Here Today' for John... I was holding it together until I looked into the audience...I just saw this girl who had totally lost it and was weeping and it got me. I tried to look away and forget it but it was impossible - I just went with her.
The murder of John Lennon was one of the saddest days of my life, and was so for millions of people all over the world.
The true heart and genius of Paul in this song is absolutely stunning. That he was able to convey on such a personal level his sense of loss, and transform that to lyric and song so beautifully, is just astounding.
It allows us all a way to deal with our grief now that we must continue on without John. Thank you, Paul.
paul admitted in a recent interview that he was actually crying during this performance. he said he was doing well with keeping it together, but he noticed a girl crying in the audience and he went along with her. bless his beautiful heart x
I was there, number nine in line, front row, quite near you but my camera was new, my video blurry so thank you for this wonderfulpost. did you per chance get the cd that was given out with the london times, entire set almost
OH GOD. THANK YOU SO MUCH FOR POSTING THIS. i'm crying so hard you'd think my house burned down or something. paulie's such a sweetheart and i know he really thought of john as a brother.
This is the trial: men have loved darkness more that the light, because their deeds are evil-Gv 3,19
Now I want to meet you and all the good in a universal and permanent prayer all good for your heart and all that is good for the world every Monday of your life, from 20 to 21 I will be with you in spirit, with my love until the end of the world!
No matter your religion or your atheism I am still near you in your prayers! God bless all mankind, protect you and help you throughout AMEN ALLELUIA
I've seen other videos of this performance and yours is by far the best. Thanks for posting this video up. I really hope you'll post the other Macca videos. :( Darn those video stealers...
This is SO BEAUTIFUL! Thanks so much for sharing - I also found your video from another posting and favorited yours. And I am telling all my good friends about this video!
im sorry about your videos being stolen. i saw this on mccartneyIII, but saw the comment you posted and came to watch it here instead. thank you for posting this.
Thank you for your comment. You are welcome. Yea, I posted it here for who did not see the show & hoping they enjoy the video at least. It's sad, they are also Maccartney fans but turned to be a thief. Whoever stole my video, they didn't even ask me and they don't even think about songs, love & peace, friends, etc.... Stealing is a bad thing but some people just don't get it. :(

So... you got Paul's permission to post your vid of his concert here?
I enjoy the video so I'm glad you posted it, but don't accuse others of "stealing" your video since you were the first one to steal this footage from Paul
I don't think that's not what he was saying. He said"steal this footage from Paul". So, Paul owned my video"? He did not saying "Paul's music". If I really infringing Paul's video, I should be take this away from Youtube but so as everybody who's posting "Paul's Video". Anyway, what surprises me is you guys are defending someone stealing someone's video. That's we should talk about. Two bad guys stole my video and one got suspended what he have done and other guy still posting my video!
Didn't call him a Thief, didn't imply he was a Thief, just cleared up RoadienicknamedRors point. In the eyes of the law this is infringement, along with every other bootleg EVER.
RoadienicknamedRor's point, which i'm sure anyone with sense can at least agree with in theory, is that how can someone who, IF TAKEN TO THE LETTER OF THE LAW, is infringing copyright they shouldn't call someone else a thief.
I love this video. Thank you Singwith for being the original poster.
Not necessarily, the copyright of the video belongs to the person who filmed it. Same as photography. If it was expressed that no video footage of the performance was allowed then that is a different matter, but that isn't clear.
i notice he scoots past the little string accent that comes after the"but we could always sing" part in the studio version- probably because they're the most mournful strings committed to record ever- you can't even listen to it without weeping- i can't imagine having to perform it. thanks Paul Mccartney and George Martin.
Thanks for the all comments. I reall feel that I was very lucky to be there. Paul did a free show but not just a free show. He put his feeling on every song he played specially "Here Today" and Ringo was there.... We all know we miss John and George. Thank you Paul!
Yeah, luck is the perfect way of putting it. I, too, was there. The best night of my life and the gratefulness that we all shared that night can not ever be erased. It was very emotional during not only this song but a few others. Thank you Amoeba, THANK YOU PAUL!!
Yea, at first, I wasn't planing to post this video on youtube because Paul might not like it. Paul chocked up and he didn't want to anybody to see this video but I figured what the heck, so many people unable to attend this incredible night even they want to, so I posted it.
Thanks so much for posting that....it's great that Paul is letting us know how he really felt...THAT is a Beautiful song!!! He didn't get as emotional in NY, but it was still great!
damn, i'm cryin' now, i don't know how Paul is suffering now,he's a great man,a great father, a great human, and i still thinkin' why he's cryin',all the time, just listen, watch it....God Bless You Paul,we are qith you until the end of the end...Love u

what he means is that you've posted a McCartney video of a McCartney song without his permission. Which i'm sure is infringement.

AS I SAID: I was just explaining his meaning. I'm very grateful for being able to watch things like this, it's why youtube has thrived
HOWEVER, you have to be able to see his point? Even in a hypothetical sense.
