Definitely one of the best Om live recordings, better than both of the live LP's. My Om moment was at a Knitting Factory show (I want to say 2007, When it was still open on Leonard street) Al must of cut his finger during the set. He just raised the volume and jammed out, bleeding all over his bass leading up to the end of the set.
@murderouswolf123 Lucky! I was at the Sleep ATP show(s)! It completed me, I know for a fact that nothing will ever surpass it, I cant imagine how amazing this Om show must have been.
I saw Sleep earlier this year as well and I can say there are few better gigs I have been to - one of them was OM. Listen to this tune, if you can't go deep into that clanging cymbal, you may as well give up everything and seal up your ears. What an immense band and an ace video to capture them.
My ibanez bass designed for beginners downtuned to C standard, with distortion and chorus pedals on gives a nice stoner sound so if I want to ever try to learn an Om song, I can do it with those pedals on at the same time
I assume your talking about tuning. I'm pretty sure that Conference is played in Standard. I can play most of At Giza and that definitly in standard. And on Pilgrimage "Unitive Knowledge of the Godhead" and "Bhimas Theme" are both in Drop D I'm pretty sure.
You're right about At Giza, it was bothering me the other day so I had to check. I haven't tried playing along with anything from Pilgrimage yet, but you're probably right on that count. Do you have any idea what he tunes to on Variations?
depends though on the setup he used. the one you described was when he used model t's and an ampeg. i'm pretty sure he goes clean when using his electric/matamps, but this was a marshall he was using, who knows what he did, looks as if it wasn't his equiptment
Om is so fucking great. I have no words for it. It's meditating vocals and one of the heaviest bass sounds around...should i headbang or lay down to bed with a spliff? :D

he didn't use his green matamp amps
in this show , he used the amps of the band " DUKATALON" they are a sludge doom band from israel , they also open
for them in their show in tel aviv
it's an ampeg and an old marshall full stack

Most of Om's songs are in E standard though, keep that in mind.

They seem to alternate between E and D on the records. I'm pretty sure Conference is all in D.

what an honor !!!

and not 4 as mention on the southern lord site .

Definitely must come to Ireland.

can easily jam the same riff for over an hour, ofc they dont have 6 hours worth of material
