But that's the silly thing, the only reason people get all worried about seal hunting is because they are cute. If it were bullfrogs or opossums being hunted nobody would care. So it's a very fickle positions, almost like a pop culture cause to support.
@winxiebio So but where is the save the opossum movement, they end up as much under the wheel or a car probably every 3 seconds somewhere in North America, and have you ever driven on one of those country roads where there is just basically a carpet of frogs up there because some little marsh is next to it, and you have no choice but to kill like 1000 of them to get through.. This is all just the way life works. And opossums are not cute they are the ugliest creature alive pretty much.

@petuniamighty Well, there are ways to make them stop, but it's illegal. At the same time, what they are doing is barbaric and should also be illegal, but for some reason, it's not. I would say try to fight along side of groups that want to save the seals and make your voice heard. That would be the first step I would take anyway.
Since I have a hatred toward seal clubbers, I was hoping to see a vicious seal taking back it's land, but instead, just an adorable little seal pup just sittin, chillin and enjoying the sun. I like this as well. :)

@addison2110 Good point but seal meat is eaten in canada, some restaurants in the us, and is popular in other countries around the world such as Taiwan. And don't you think it would be even more sad if seals would be left to live just because of the "cute and cuddly" factor and the cows and chickens were still slaughtered because they were not so lucky to be as cute. The way i see it is not to worry some seals will die but there will always be plenty of seals up north to cuddle :)

@petuniamighty yeah I completely agree with you. If anything, it doesn't make their country look very good. Seals are beautiful creatures and need to be left in peace. I would like to think that if enough people could fight for the seals that we could beat all of those seal clubbers. No pun intended by the way.

I'm with the savejapandolphins organization and I am a HUGE advocate for animals and their safety. I wish stupid useless actions like whaling, seal clubbing and dolphin driving didn't exist. @petuniamighty Well, there are ways to make them stop, but it's illegal. At the same time, what they are doing is barbaric and should also be illegal, but for some reason, it's not. I would say try to fight along side of groups that want to save the seals and make your voice heard. That would be the first step I would take anyway.

@addison2110 Good point but seal meat is eaten in canada, some restaurants in the us, and is popular in other countries around the world such as Taiwan. And don't you think it would be even more sad if seals would be left to live just because of the "cute and cuddly" factor and the cows and chickens were still slaughtered because they were not so lucky to be as cute. The way i see it is not to worry some seals will die but there will always be plenty of seals up north to cuddle :)

what they dont realize is if somone actually was caught killing that baby seal is they could actually end up in jail..since the late seventies..its been illegal to do so..but animal rights groups..who accept donations from the public say otherwise....oh..the guy in the video is also ignorant to the fact the seal isn't moving because it is shitbaked..scared to death because a human is so close to him..it probably died of shock shortly after the clip was shot...
