@jc72la5stout - Almost. I've tested my own group of 8 Albinos and whilst they do not react to me waving my hand in front of them, they do move when I shine a small torch at them. So like most albino animals their eyesight isn't the best. But then they're build like a tank so have little to fear from most predators. So to us they appear very laid-back and cool. :)
@davidthaot - That'll harm your animals in the long term as their gut isn't adapted to eating wheat and no one food provides all the vitamins and minerals they need. Feed some raw fish flesh once a week or add some catfish pellets to their diet.
when you vacuum/syphon do your corys act weird? Everytime i do it they act like zombies but when i turn the light on the morning after they are perfect.
My Corys are very laid back. they hardly bother when I syphon. Perhaps its the fact they're built like Tanks with all that armour and covered with spines that are toxic to other fish. So they don't fear attack.
My Corys just ignore the Syphon and simply move out of the way.
I've got 3 of them. Amazing fish, always out and about. They've recently showed mating behaviour and the largest keeps making a 'cave' under the bogwood you see.
So to make it easier for them, I put a small bottle in there with the base taken out.
These are probably my favorite fish. I have 6 of them in my 20 gallon tank, they are peaceful, they interact with each other, they are always searching for food, and they dart to the top and take gulps of air. Very neat little fish.
are albino cories blind?

Very Nice! BTW, what size is your aquarium?

~250Litres,
48"x18"x18"
I get lots of eggs scattered on the glass every 2 or so weeks. So I guess they're happy. :)

I am about to get Albino Corydoras Aeneus, RCS Shrimp, and Blue Dragon Guppies, do i need to turn the lights off at night in my tank?
FaMoUs82Am0s 3 years ago
Sure, unless you want the tank plagued with algae.
Corys are nocturnal animals, so best to turn off the lights.

in my 10 gal. i have:
1 dwarf gourami
1 guppy
3 zebra danios
3 ghost shrimp
i want to an albino cory catfish and a few more guppies...
ScreamoInc 3 years ago
Don't ever get just one. You'll never see it as it tries to hide all the time.
Which is why I suggest 3 or more. I started out with 3 and they mostly hid. Now there is 6 and they're out all the time.
Safety in numbers? :-)

thanks lol.
idk what ill get next.
ive only lost 2 guppies and a snail so far so im doing pretty good lol.
i like the emerald green cory catfish and well yeah...thanks lol

sillychicken599 3 years ago
Oh well prepare for 100 new babies within 6 weeks... Most female mollies in shops are pregnant. They can store sperm for up to 90 days I hear... :-)

Thanks, they make a nice contrast with the darkened tank. Entertaining too.
Be sure to browse the web site.
