No. Not really. You need to brush both sides. I've cleaned enough dog's teeth to see that there are plenty of build up especially on the lingual (behind) the K-9,the molars and even the lower anteriors. If you don't, the tartar can build up below the gumline and have severe periodontal problems. Try your best to clean at an angle like humans do to get under the gums as well.
The gums bleed because he has gingivitis. Swollen gums is the body's reaction to a foreign substance such as bacterial plaque, tatar above and below the gumline. Once you have a professional cleaning done and you faithfully and properly clean the dog's teeth everyday, then the bleeding will stop. This is the same a humans...
i think this is a great video too and i am just learning how to brush my dog's teeth. I think the dog and I are both learning alot. Thanks for the video.
My dog didnt let me brush its teeth. I guess it doesnt like the taste of the tooth paste because whenever i put it on his teeth he always runs to the water to get the taste of of his mouth.
Wow, that is one cooperative dog! My dog will tolerate brushing, but no way could I pull on her lips like that. I have to let her brush her own back teeth, basically by chewing on the brush.
Good girl!
sarahseagott, don't give up, just keep at it. You are the boss, not your Bulldog.

This is the best of the several tooth brushing videos I've viewed so far. She has enough instruction with lots of clear demonstration.
