I am an American!---and I would and in fact HAVE picked a lotus over a mustang! I have a 94 lotus esprit S4. My comment was and still is: why has lotus gotten so ugly and bare inside? yes the car handles BETTER than on rails. I have been in an elise AND an exige, in power runs and they are great, BUT LOOK AT THE LEATHER IN THE S4 ESPRIT SUPERCAR!

@kieghacat No that first one you see there (the Artic silver one is an Elise, the Starlight Black and the Chrome Orange one is an Exige. You can tell mainly by the rear clam . The Exige has no visibility because the boot lid has to cover the intercooler. (supercharged) However 06 exige are not supercharged. 07+ Exige are supercharged.

Well no duh hersimi123 and its not cheap lotus has always had the concept of building you a car and then asking what can you live without who needs all leather interior who can take off like a rocket when you step on the accelerator pedal and if you want it more expensive you can pay the extra 20,000 or whatever they charge for all leather interior and other optional extra's but it built to be a sports car not a couch.
