Paul you have alien fingers but I like your style very much.

Alien fingers?
:)
PaulSaywood 3 years ago
They're extremely long, Paul Gilbert is the same, his fingers reach stretches that I can only tap on with my right hand.
Hi Paul I've checked out a few of your videos
I like this one best so far.

Mmm that's a very useful study. At least for me it is. My rasgeuaueaueado is dreadful!
Best,
Jo

Rasguado isn't one of my strong points either.
Thanks.

At some parts you play it like strings. I don't see too many guitarists do that.
Very nice.

Thank you Jon, but how do you mean by play it like strings?
For example at 0:33, it sounds like classical strings are being played. If you know what I mean...
I get you, that bit sounds a little like a harp, the contrast from naily rasguado to smooth arpeggio.
Thanks Jon.
You are doing a good work for the repertoire of the guitar.

Thank you, that is a wonderful comment.
A very interesting combination of
resgueados with non-standard melodies.
Certainly very challenging to play well.

Thank you.
Very light and lively. Did you use the second mike on this recording as well? Your guitar sounds a bit fuller and the tone is more "round" and full bodied.
What an excellent piece for study.

Hello Ed,
Yes I did use the second mike, it's just a tiny condenser that I've stuck onto the bridge with gaffer tape.
Thanks for your comment.
