  • Today, 1/22/2012, marks his 4 year death anniversary. I miss you, you mastermind.

  • He looks twitchy, unsettled, and cold. Watching him gave me a sudden awareness that I'm cold too. huh

  • I willl do it !! HAAAA

  • should of smoked a blunt that will put you on your ass faster than a fat bitch who sat down too fast, ahaha but srsly legend man i remeber as a small kid watching a Knight's tale and ever since i was a fan. and at least hes resting :)

  • that's the motha fuckin joker!!!

  • Are his cheeks always like that? Maybe that's why they had the Joker have sliced cheeks in the movie, because Heath Ledger licked his lips a lot and stuff.

  • This guy behaves like me... I have chronic insomnia... I can't stand being around people. I am dysthmic.

    Hopefully I'll die too?

  • @BlueBerryWizard do u want 2 die cuz if so ur not the only one

  • I dont see how they can put the joker in the "dark night rises" when heath is dead. its just wrong

  • @warmpond The Joker isn't going to appear in the third one.

  • Heath was a typical example of what cocaine and MDMA do with people.....

  • @PolishHoolsRules he was not on cocaine you asswipe

  • @Chan3lprincess16 he was a short time before he got anxiety.probably that was the main reason of his insomnia problem you wankmachine

  • @PolishHoolsRules wtf are you saying retard

  • he looks really anxious and jumpy. I think he'd been suffering from insomnia for a long time.

  • Jack was like the real life version of Batman the Animated Series and than Heath Ledger is the more realistic Joker and then Mark Hamill is the most craziest joker :) RIP H.L

  • People said Jack was the best joker of all time, and he was back then. Today Heath is the best joker. I'm sure, somewhere down the line a new joker will come along and the typical fan will say he is the best.

  • @Nathanwmang jacks take on joker is fat n just laugh hysterically like normally

  • the man is a legend

  • Yesterday my dad told me he died, I almost cried dude D: He's the best Joker I could freakin think of!

  • I personally don't think anyone should play the Joker for a long time.

  • @Fern412 no, nobody should play the joker ever again...... they should say in the new one that the joker died some how..... heath ledger is the joker and any other person who tries to play the joker is just gonna mock heath ledger's performance.... watch the movie again, and this time dont look at the joker as the joker, look at him as heath ledger's performance and you will agree....

  • WILLIAM

  • And jacxk nicholson was FURIOUS he wasnt asked to play the joker. im sorry to dissapoint his group of cock suckers but he got chooped up by heath's performance. After i read what he said I lost repect for him completely

  • @regulator619 what who said, where?

  • @regulator619 He thinks he owns the Joker character, but he doesn't no-one owns the Joker. (Heath is the best portrayal OF the Joker by millions and millions)

  • he looks pretty messed up here. twitching and rubbing himself. creepy

  • I dont see another Joker now.

  • Heath was a fantastc actor

  • dean richards is not a guy you want to be talking to when your depressed and using drugs... may add to wanting to jump off a bridge

  • dean Richards is an insulting interviewer

  • He was ONE OF THE BEST MOVIE ACTORS of our time...we will miss him!!!Let his legacy continue...

  • Silverwire100 -> this guy is just garbage trying to get some attention out of his boring useless life ... we are here 2 talk about a fantastic actor ... and anything u say against him is an insult to his memory ... GET A LIFE !

  • @z9i4a2

I don't want attention. I am providing an alternative view. If everyone had the same opinion, then what would be the point of posting in general?

  • @z9i4a2

So you are an advocate of tyranny and conformity?

Everyone has to have the same views on everything?

    Doesn't sound intelligible to me...

  • ...day in day out and come home to the same family who you support with your same weekly wage, or i could be totally wrong and your just a sad sad person who sits on your cushion criticisng people because everyday you look in the mirror and see a disappointment staring straight back at ya! living in a 9-5 timeframe is just the same as everyones ''same'' opinion on this page. The only difference is we do it out of RESPECT, you do it, because you have nothing else to give.

  • @brreeaatt183 this is part two of the comment

  • @brreeaatt183

I love film. I love life. I'm not crazy about Heath Ledger. I'm also not crazy about people who are intolerant of other people's opinions and prefer to mindlessly gush over celebrities.

  • a comment to silverwire100. mate if all you doing is criticising heath ledger about his performance, what a man! truly what a man to criticise a man, who to me is my role model, who is no longer here! wheres your mark on this world?a silly comment on a youtube page..wow! youve got to give this bloke a round of applause ladies and gentlemen c'mon, truly a master of youtube comments. what do you do thats so special, get up every morning at the same time and go to the same job and do the same thing

  • @brreeaatt183

I despise YouTube and the way it has lowered viewers' patience levels and film standards. Occasionally, I post comments on videos/other people's comments when I see a disproportionate amount of undue praise/criticism.

I only post comments on YouTube because it pains me to see what the world has become. I might be a little hypocritical for using YouTube to attack YouTube, but this is the place that everybody wastes their time on. I'm trying to knock some sense into people.

  • @brreeaatt183

Your rant is childish and nearly substance-free.

I'm here to talk some sense to people who are currently senseless.

  • @Silverwire100

    wata man!

  • @brreeaatt183 hes onl our role model b/c of the joker if it wasnt for that dude u make gay cowboy jokes

  • i love you.

  • He's overrated. Plan and simple. If he had lived to be 78, there wouldn't be a fraction of the fuss he currently receives.

He strained to be The Joker (gratuitous slurps and coughs, etc.) and the only reason why most audiences and critics took notice was because there are so few good performances these days in general. If The Dark Knight had come out twenty years ago, it would not have been greeted with such overwhelming praise, nor would Ledger's performance.

  • @Silverwire100 that's bullshit. theres no need to say anymore. and im not starting some retarded online fight. im just stating that we all, even you, know thats not true.

  • @bladesofglory12

You don't have to start a fight. But, you might consider offering an intelligible argument to support your opinion.

What's the point of posting comments if everyone has the same opinion?

  • @Silverwire100 wow ! u r so full of $hit ! people like these shudnt even exist ... if u don't like Heath Ledger or his performance , get the F out of here ... no1's begging u 2 stay ... ( nd i just wasted a precious minute of my life talking 2 an absolute waste of space !)

  • @Silverwire100 troll

  • @Silverwire100 youre right

  • ironic that the last movie he promotes is called "im not there"

  • @knownpleasures he was destined to die

he did this movie when he accepted joker role

  • R.I.P. Heath Ledger you were my favorite Joker.

  • he really is'nt there good guy though great actor. rip heath!

  • i love him so much. but. i watched interviews with him so many time thay i feel i could say i know how he behaves while he's not acting actually ... and it seems to me that this interview is really stange and Geath is like some other peron , i wonder if he wah high or something..

  • it's so great to watch him playing as if he still would be living but painful too cause you knw that he's not! he was a great actor! drugs aren't a way out they make everything only worse! i wish every actor to be happy so that they never die that way or even think about it!

  • I heard he had to get on medicine after doing Batman cause playing the joker some what drove him crazy. in this interview if u look closely...he is still licking his lips and stuff

  • yeah...i've read that he said in an interview that he wasn't sleeping more than 3 hours a night. His body was exhausted, but his mind was working so he couldn't relax...In a way, I wish he hadn't played The Joker :(

  • @jones618 Thats because he had something done to his mouth that he couldnt let his lips stay dry

  • Heath Ledger <3

  • Oh, god, NO!!!! there were many interviews that day for him (you could watch many on YouTube) and this was the last...is normal that a person be stressed!!!! I'm usually more stressed at school every day!!!!! And I do not use drugs!!!!

  • wtf. he looks like hes on drugs or something. moving the hands all the interview. no wonder that he died

  • you're an asshole for saying that,what a stupid conclusion..go fuck yourself.

  • FUCK YOU

  • YOU TOO,LOSER.

  • it is was it is. he o.d. on drugs dumbasses. he was having a terrible fucking time n couldnt cope. felt escaping but didnt want to end a relationship with his lil daughter or in acting.; his 2 loves.

  • Heath may be gone but his talent will live on forever. Rest in peace.

  • Rest in Peace. Such talent and dedication will be remembered and looked up upon.

  • Poor guy. Yes, drug addiction. i would be too in his place. i can appreciate his pressures, and i think he was an amazing talent and artist. Sad. If you're an artist, you can truly understand. If not, you my judge but have nofuckin clue.

  • @allaccessphoto troll

  • this guy was a drug addict look at the way he grabs himself and moves and shit man, he cant stay still, hope he R.i.P

  • RIP buddy...wish you were still here

  • he doesnt look happy...

  • Well he had just done The Dark Knight. I don't know how reliable my information is but I heard he was having nightmares and things from his role as the joker. I also heard that it was this that attributed to his unfortunate death.

  • Love his suspenders

    Larry King's too

  • he was so smart, and adorable,i love the way he laughs at the end, makes me miss him all over again..

  • There's talk that Daniel Day Lewis might step in to continue Heath's role of the Joker... not sure exactly how reliable this is but, personally, I would like to see that because Lewis is good at portraying psychotic characters... especially in Gangs of New York. Not saying this is the same as the Joker but it could work.

  • @CARNLOU I don't think so. Daniel Day-Lewis is really great actor, but he will never be as awesome as Heath's Joker.

  • @CARNLOU or freakin There Will Be Blood

  • @CARNLOU not true...... the villains in "the dark knight rises" are ann hathoway as the catwoman and tom hardy as bane..... joker isnt in it and shouldnt be in it because, in my opinion, if he is, that would be a mockery of heath ledger's performance in the dark knight...... now when people think of the joker, the only image that goes through their mind is heath's performance as the joker.... step aside, jack nicholson, heath is the true joker now...

  • Comment removed

  • ledger oooh ledger

  • i dont think that heath really cared that his opinion matted , to these questions , hence his difficulties answering them . how boring to him , at the end of the day ,he was just . being him like you or i , getting thru life , one day at a time .

  • Mark Wallberg could step in as the Joker as hes got the same facial structure and apperance as Heath but he wouldnt do a very good job of capturing the character like Heath did.Hes not as good.

  • yea but movie makers can find a way to fix watever he cant do

  • mark is not a joker and hes way way to ripped to even think about the role, because his arms are so big he can't do as many roles, heaths arms are like 14 inches and marks are almost 17 so that alone would make it not work, he even had to cut down for the shooter because his arms are massive

  • he surely never took drugs.

  • he OD'd.

  • Yes but everyone was moaning when he was cast has the joker. Saying he did brokeback mountin he could never pull it off

  • yeah noone really cared about him, i mean i didnt really until i heard he died. He wouldve done well in the next batman movie (he did such a good job with batman they'd probably bring him back in the next movie).

  • you are probly write people didnt care so much about him. I think people are more shocked than missing him. Check early websites and everyone says he want be able to do the joker because he did brokeback mountin. Heath Ledger as the joker shocked everyone because he completely changed himself completely when he was the joker.

  • Well, in the beginning people were shocked. But EVERYONE who has seen TDK is missing him now....

  • thats called acting dude.. and he was a damn good one at that..

  • i love you heath ive had the biggest crush on him b4 the joker thing but holy crap did he do i good job on that. its so weird 2 see his real self all inisant and ADORABLE and then see him transform into the joker PURE SKILL he was gifted an extrordinary actor and that movie could have gotten his career 2 a much higher level but...... I LOVE U HEATH i always will.....!!

  • I have to say the only reason anyone gives a shit about him was because of the fuckin batman movie.

before if he woulda died, nobody would have cared nearly as much, nor would any of you. Its sad that when everyone heard he died, all people thought was, did they finish the fuckin movie!!!!! Asswholes

  • Humans don't give a fuck about other people :)

  • you must be pretty educated. Asshole.

  • what??? why do u assume that i'm educated??

i just said what i was thinking, sorry if i seem smart.....?

  • shut up asshalf

  • That character in The Dark Knight was fucking good and in the Brokeback Mountain...he should have won Oscar for it.Otherwise you are right, nobody cares, he was an actor, how stupid he couldn't manage his life, his problems. This is the life, live or death.Anyway I like his work, he transformed very well for the Joker and he could play very different roles. R. I. P.

  • The role is more important then the actor playing it....i really dont care for his other movies at all, but he totally brought it for the joker and did it awsome, when i watch that movie i dont see heath ledger...i see the joker, thats it....hence why they need to recast and let someone pick up what he started, not with disrespect but for an awsome movie....and i was for sure one of those people who asked "Did they finish the movie"

  • @reentoreen well nolan wont

  • he was into pills long ago, as in eees.

  • @orbital92hotmail he was only on plls when he died idiot

  • best joker of all time. period.

  • Happy 30th Birthday Heath!!! Wherever you are!!! Cheers!

  • He's dead, that's where he is.

  • He was losing sleep, cause he took pills to keep him awake while he practiced playing the Joker alone in an apartment room. Basically, he overdosed, and died after the filming was done.

  • He locked himself in a bare hotel room with a few Joker comics and a journal (which I would love to read) to practice playing Joker.

The Anti-Depressants mixed badly with the pain killers and sleep meds, and that's what killed him.

  • Wherever did you hear this?

  • can anybody tell me plain and simple why he died? he was awesome as the joker and i got pissed when i heard he died before they finished the movie.

  • The movie was already done when he died.

  • No it wasn't it was supposed to be alot longer!

  • No the filming was done, they were in the edit phase. Ledger was already filming another movie.

  • God Bless Heath

  • Never gonna realize he´s gone...R.I.P. Legend

  • rest in peace heath. you were a great actor

  • may he rest in peace. he was the best actor of all time and his last film was his best. Well, he saved the best for last

  • I still think Heath is the best Joker ever made, but if they ever HAVE to bring the Joker back, do you think they'll use his mentor Mel Gibson?

  • ummm...no.

  • Johnny Depp maybe.. or how about Robert Downey Jr. He could do it like a combo of Nicholson, Ledger, and Cesar Romero

  • Specualtions about Depp playing one of the upcoming villains. The Riddler I believe. If all is true, I believe it shall be good.

  • jim carrey played the last riddler, kinda freaked me out, and two-face was in that one 2 right? if they do a remake it would be awesome. i cant remember if that was the same movie or not

  • o ya of corse theyre gonna make another movie iunno who'll be the riddler but 2-face will b kinda awesome i think ya they were in the same movie

  • Heath was "fidgeting" because he was on oxycontin and hydrocondone, frome experience this is how one acts when one pills very inpatient, you scratch like all, you itch like there's no tommorw, and by ALL REPORTS HEATH HAD BEEN ON OXY'S AND zanex months if not years before shooting this interview

  • First of all, there are zero reports that say Heath had been on these meds "months if not years" before shooting this interview. Second, he ALWAYS fidgeted in interviews. Third, you're only seeing one tiny snippet of an interview session that took hours. Fourth, he just got the tattoo on his upper right arm, and fifth, unless you are privy to his medical history, you are in no position to make assumptions about it.

  • his medical history was made public he was on six count them SIX different forms of narcotics that had been prescribed to him for months before his death, second he scratches on both of his arms not just the one on his tattooed arm, even if you don't think he's on pills in the interview, he sure as hell was in real life, he had doctors from europe, canada, and the usa all prescribing him dangerous narcotics that should not be mixed, end of story, end of heath

  • Toxicology reports don't lie, and prescription bottles dont' either, his toxicology report was made public, in his system were two pain opiates that make you itch, one oxycontin, two vicicodin, he was also on zanex, valium, and three sleeping prescriptions, that's way too much shit to have in your system, THERE ALL DOWNERSs, you go to sleep and your heart slows to a pace whre it eventually just gives out under the tremedous effect of having six downers all shuting down your central nervous system

  • I understand that he was on six different pills, but my issue with what you said was that you said he was on all these meds for "months, if not years." That was never stated anywhere. Also, just because he scratches his arms in one small part of this interview session, which like I said was part of a set that took hours, doesn't mean he was scratching because of oxycontin.

  • From inside sources close to heath he had been using for a couple of years, after the break up with michelle his using according to his core inside group got out of control, he had narcotic prescriptions from 3 different countries, you don't get prescriptions out of nowhere, you have to have some track record, heath allegdly had a track record of manipulating doctors, and no maybe he wasn't on oxy's in this interview, but his toxicology report doesn't lie he had been on them, .

  • What a sweet, sweet man. His shyness and his fidgeting just made him him more endearing. He was absolutely mindblowing as The Joker.

    RIP, sweetheart.

  • he is such a good actor when it comes to the role of the joker!!!!!!

  • did anyone else notice but the poster or the scene in the dark knight with joker in the sell when he is smiling, when you see al of him sat their notice his shoes are on the wrong feet. how cool is that? i was looking at my poster of him and i just noticed it :O every detail it is incredible!

  • omg heath i miss you so much you were like the best actor ever. RIP

  • for any aussie out there, does he sounds australian to you guys! coz i think hes accent is unspecified more englishy with hints of american then aussie! or is that how they speak in perth???

  • im aussie and hes got an american touch

  • YEah mate im aussie i go to his high school gilford in W.A his accent changed because

he was always around posh hollywood people kinda hard to speak aussie when you spend years around them.

  • hahaha lol

well i recon he is probably so used to being in America ect. plus he would have just finished the Dark Knight, where he had to use an American accent, so i guess he has probably lost most of it over time.

because if you look back at say, 10 things i hate about you, its really strong. and i live in Australia, and to hear him in that movie, i was like, do we actually sound like that?

    hahaha lol but yea.

  • He was always figety in interviews. If you watch any of his previous interviews in the past, sometimes he is more restless than this. He always said he get's so nervous during them. But like, Heath just sounded like a really great person to talk to, his depth into his interview.

    RIP Heath

    Much respect & love.

  • i think he was trippin balls during this vid, he is so fidgety, but all the same i love him so, o heath u are terribly missed!!!

  • lmao, the question about the writer's strike, he was like 'no', like he was glad to finally have a break!!!

    RIP heathy

  • he rubs himself alot during this

  • He coulda been president talking like that. :o

  • I wish Heath never died, it sucks so fucking much. I would understand if he got terminally ill or something. But a tragic death like his could of been avoided... And if it was, who knows what masterpieces he would of done in his future films.

  • wow u can tell something is really wrong in the interview wow i wounder what was wrong with him

  • He's seems to still be in character for the joker in this interview. He's doing the nervous twitching and licking the scars! It's amazing how comitted great actors can be to their characters. RIP Heath. You're greatly missed.

  • Spiritual Possession is a dangerous thing. :x

  • he was in incredible actor

  • if u look at all of the other interview, he doesnt seem somewhat comfortable so i dont think the reason he was uncomfortable was drugs.

i thinks hes like johnny depp, doesnt like publicity.

  • i agree

most actors like johnny depp, don't like the spot light and just love doing the work but not comes with it.

He was an amazing actor, and his work will be contiunally watched and enjoyed for years to come and i hope that one day matilda, his daughter will be able to watch these interviews and see how great he was.

  • He was a very shy guy. He probably was just a bit nervous.

  • he was the perfect freaking joker ever... i miss him sooo mcuh...greatest joker actor ever!!!!

  • RIP, Mr. Ledger.

You had incredible talent. You left this earth too soon.

  • its a shame he dies be4 seeing how big he had gotten and i bet he wud had stared in the next batman 2 sooo sad R.I.P heath.

  • yeah, he does look more nervous on this video thenhe does on the others, i think it's because he was heavily on drugs before he died, such a shame, he was such a lovely manx

  • heath always tried so hard to keep away from the public.

    its just nerves.

  • at 3:06 he moved his head just like the joker !!

amazing ...... he killed him !!!!

  • You're a loser LOL

  • go fuck yourself iggnorent asshole

  • OMG GO FUCK YOURSELF. Why don't you just go play bloody buddy with your dad again you fucking prick. Heath was good, but not THAT fucking good kids.

  • hes dead ur ment to show respect, i bet ur some punny little piece of shit, so why dont you go grow some hair on ur chest, pull ur head in, and i hope you get thrush u little piece fo shit, fuck you

  • no he was good, i don't know why you'd say he wasn't... I don't cock-ride Heath like everyone else because he's dead now but he had real talent
