It doesn't mean nothing, but equally it is far from meaning a lot. In other words, it can be a good indicator of skill sometimes, just not always, because of boosting, second accounting, etc. But don't say it means absolutely nothing, because I've completely lost count of the number of commanders/colonels that somehow slip into my higher ranked matches, and end up going rambo and costing our team a win by going -15 K/D, whilst the rest of the team combined go +10.
