  • Damn, is that Rihanna singing at 2:48?

  • LOVED THIS SO FUNNY BUT AWESOME!

  • Amy whitcomb + scott hoying = SUPERPOWER

  • priceless face at 1:40

  • that's a lot of microphones

  • SCOTT!!!!!!!!!!! <3

Do I even need to say anything else?

  • so enchanting(:

  • For a bunch of people, they don't sound that bad on this song.

  • Who's the third soloist for werewolves of London?

  • @adkfjasldk Jake from vocal point

  • @adkfjasldk Keith Evans, from Vocal Point. He also did Never Say Never & Every Little Step.

  • 0:49 this part is so perfect for a haunted house voice over as in the guy who introduces you to the house its so perfect

  • The transaction between This is Halloween and Werewolves of London is just fantastic.

  • They were smart to start it off with Danielle.

  • this is fuckin cool.

  • I ain't afraid of no ghost !

  • You know what makes me sad? All of these people are extremely talented and are unautotuned. But I seriously doubt that they're ever going to make it big in the music industry, just because they didn't win this competition.....

I want all of their albums!!

  • Can anybody list all of the characters/movies everyone was dressed up as? I realized Pentatonix was dressed like Rocky Horror, and Delilah = Interview With a Vampire maybe?

  • @pru006 oh nvm Delilah were the ones with the feathers?

  • @pru006 I think they were going as "Black Swan" with all of them as the black swans except for one is was a white swan. I mean they were wearing feathers..

  • Troy has the widest range!!!

  • i just realised something. For Ghostbusters, the choreographers were smart enough to put the good dancers front and center! Amy and Laina from Delilah, Mariah from Afro Blue, Kirstie from Pentatonix and Kim from Urban Method!

  • @Armyofone898

    GhostBusters!!!

  • @kelliepik Pretty sure that's Jamal from Yellow Jackets.

  • I love mitches costume

  • i think delilah are dressed like black swans, with one of them being the white swan

  • I bought it off iTunes. At the beginning they howl like wolves! You can't hear it in the video!

Another thing to those who want to buy the songs on iTunes, you barely hear the crowd. So you can hear their voices more clearly.

  • What's he guys name singing at 2:13?

  • The dance move at 2:42 just made my day

  • I ain't afraid of no ghost! HUGH.

  • WHO YOU GONNA' CALL?

  • @Armyofone898 Ghostbusters!

  • @Armyofone898 Ghostbusters!!!

  • OMG i love love LOVE the "This is Halloween" :D

  • The inclusion of "Werewolves of London" made me cheer.

  • 2:24 - 2:35 best part of the video

  • The beginning was great. Some of them could probably make a living off of voice acting if singing doesn't work out.

  • i love their faces at the end!

  • I can't find Avi! I've looked in the balconies and in the crowds and I can't find him. I ish sad. Has anyone else found him? o,o

  • @lionroar224 I think I found him at 2:11. Look at the balconies and then at the person to the far right. It looks like him, but I'm not sure.

  • @TheSaibre656 I think you're right! Muchas gracias :D

  • Comment removed

  • @TheSaibre656 That looks about right, he's wearing a top hat and all the Pentatonix members dressed up like the partygoers from Rocky Horror...except Kevin, he's clearly Eddie

  • I loved how Sara Bareilles danced to Ghostbusters.

  • at first i was wonderin what that fuzzy thing was on Micheals lip.....then i realized he was wearin a mustache 0.0 it was fuckin scary, man!

    hold meh!

  • Troy from Urban Method has by far the most diverse and best voice in the whole competition.

  • @NickCreamier I wish he had sung more leads... *teardrop*

  • 2:25 the breakdown to ghostbusters=pure magic

  • Comment removed

  • I'm just glad they didn't add Thriller to this medley. Peoples' heads would've exploded from the awesome.

  • They sound so unified that it's amazing!

My favorite part is 0:50-0:55. His voice is awesome. I also like how all the guys come out (Scott and the guy from Dartmouth Aires and everybody cheers!) and make everybody go....WHOA!

And 2:08-2:13, his voice is perfect for that part! My other absolute favorite part is when Clark comes and goes, "I ain't afraid of no ghost, HUH!" and whips that awesome hair around.

    I don't think I could live without the Sing-Off.

  • @WhyHerandNotMe ... yeah I like that guy as well at :50 seconds in ... he was my favorite all season ... you know why? Because I have the same voice and do the same sounds and singing. Reminded me of me :P ... seriously. I love doing that type of singing like Audrey in Little Shop of Horrors or You're a Mean One Mr. Grinch. Sing that every Christmas season for my family and guess what, HE actually sang that for last night's Christmas Sing Off Special.

  • @Nelson4JesusChrist I know, it was awesome, wasn't it???!!! And cool, i'd like to hear some of it sometime!

  • @WhyHerandNotMe Those are my favorite parts, too! :D Especially Clark lol

  • @lionroar224 Clark will always be my favorite person in the entire show... :D

  • I love everyone's comments pointing out little things like the laugh, the cricket noises, upper left corner at 1:04 etc.! Discovering something new every time I watch this makes it even more awesome :)

  • Pretty sure 30,000 of these views are mine.

  • Troy from Urban Method's range is INSANE

  • The best piece of the whole competition. There were actual songs in it.

  • This show deserves the following EMMYs:

    -Outstanding Reality-Competition Program

    -Music Direction

-Sound Mixing for a Music Series.

Whoever arranged, music directed, and mixed the microphones for all these performances all season deserves awards for outstanding work. As well as the show as a whole, for giving a platform to these genuinely talented singers.

  • 1:01

    SO BADASS

  • 2 people are more of an easter fan...

  • 2:30...WOAH

  • Poor people on the balconies.. I bet no one was looking at them..

  • @Jsykes219 I was! I kept trying to find people there lol

  • This is Halloween is the best opening for something like this... I'm in love with that movie, so I am picky... but, I will say nothing wrong with it, for my own sanity, knowing how well it's performed.

  • @AlBhedWonderGirl I have to disagree that nothing is wrong......the entire performance wasn't long enough.

  • @caling98 ur right where the fuck is avi

  • No way....... I cant take in the fact that they aren't using any instruments in this! At 0:42 to 0:50,not only was the incredible Amy incredible again, but the background music was haunting... just saying, anyone who participates in this show should win 200,000 dollars. They all deserve it....

  • where is avi?

  • @caling98 He's probably in one of the balconies.

  • Still considering if this was better than the Aires Queen. It's hard but I give this the win.

  • @TheArmedMaster Heck, the Queen medley wasn't even the Aires best performance!

  • @AIReject Which was their best performance do you think?

  • @lionroar224 My favorite performance from them has always been Club Can't Handle Me. The amount of vocal precision they used, and the technique that they incorporated just made it awesome, and it sounded good - better than the original. The Queen medley was thin and they couldn't produce enough even sound to really do Bohemian Rhapsody very well, plus, you can't beat Freddie Mercury. I also enjoy Pinball Wizard , Higher Ground, and Born This Way/Sympathy for the Devil more than the Queen Medley.

  • @AIReject Cool. I just loved them in general, but "Higher Ground" and the Queen Medley were my favorites because Michael killed the former and I just loved how well put together the medley was. They weren't my favorite group but they are so amazing and I love the soloists.

  • @lionroar224 They were my second favorite group. Pentatonix was first, and Delilah was third (though I was hoping they'd be better than they were, but Grenade was one of the best performances of the whole season). Fourth, if you can believe it, was actually Cat's Pajamas. Sure, they only had one performance, but they were so fine-tuned and just musically very very good.

  • @AIReject Yeah, Pentatonix was the best for me. Fo sho :) I really love Delilah and I was sad to see them have such a hard time. But when they shone boy were they good! I thought the Cat's Pajamas were good, too, but that's probably why they left. They had a good thing going and didn't need it as much as other groups. I personally love the Yellowjackets because they really sing with emotion--and I love Aaron <3

  • All of Pentatonix were dressed from Rocky Horror. That's why kevin looks so uhm... "Fabulous".

  • I think every group is dressed like some halloween themed movie.

  • Is Kristie dressed like Columbia from Rocky Horror? Easily my favourite costume

  • @AserHapi

All of pentatonix are dressed like characters from Rocky Horror: Kristie is Columbia; Kevin is Eddie; Scott is one of the Time Warp dancers; and I haven't been able to locate Avi in the crowd.

  • Seriously, when Scott walks out, I get chill bumps.

  • AWESOME :)

  • This is incredible. Easily the best opening number of the season, possibly the best performance. The arrangement is so wonderful, and the choreography is AMAZING! ... And I think Clark is fantastic!

  • It's like almost Thanksgiving and I'm still coming back to this Halloween-themed medley because it's SO FRICKIN AMAZING

  • Love the fact that Pentatonix are in Rocky Horror costumes

  • At :50 anyone notice the guy with the mustache???

  • @4Briefilly4

Ha ha Just noticed there like 5 people with mustaches

  • so fun and amazing!

  • Love the judges reaction to werewolves in london and them yelling ghostbusters.

  • This show should be on FoX....X- factor would be put to shame asap!!!!...

  • 2:31 - OMG, Clark is the cutest!

  • This. is. SO. good. o_o

  • this is fabulous

  • Fantastic... Wow!!!

  • top left corner at 1:04

  • Ghost Busters= original Shufflers.

  • 1:06 . why is he such a good singer? like seriously. his voice is perfect.

  • Love when they transition to Ghost Busters

  • SCOTT!!!!! <3 <3 <3

  • I cannot describe the sheer amount of SQUEE I experienced watching this. ^^

    Classic!

  • I love how Amy from Delilah is in the front most of the time :)

  • OH MY GOSH THIS WAS MY FAVORITE 1 cuz they sang this is halloween :D

  • OOOOOH! Freaking win.

(plus, Scott in a tali-coat! yes please.)

  • Gaah this is so much fun!! ^_^

  • every time i listen to this (which is alot ) 1:00 always makes me smile (:(:

  • I cannot stop watching this rendition.l Fantastic, just fantastic.

  • No group number on X factor or AI is ever going to live up to The Sing-Off!

  • What the BALLS! That was NUTS!

  • This is what real singing is...not the fake crap thats on the radio today!! This is what pure talent sounds like!! WOW!

  • 1:00 i wanna know who the hell made those cricket noises! lmfao....how do you do that!

  • @joshman929 I want to say its Richard, the beatboxer in Urban Method, but I'm not sure. I know he can make that sound.

  • Clark ain't afraid of no ghost!

  • Clark <3

  • WHERE"S THRILLER!!!!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!? lol

  • Comment removed

  • they shouldve done real songs....i know these are real songs, but still

  • 0:49 best voice ever.......

  • SCOTT!

    hhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhot<3

  • @orangepenguin115 we started the this song and the dancing near the start of the school year

  • My choir and I did the same song and almost same dancing like a week before this aired. What a rip off

  • @hwillipiddy You know they film these shows months in advance, right?

  • Comment removed

  • @fuchsiaification The shows are pre-filmed because of the college groups and the fact that they have school. Most of the episodes are filmed during the summer. And America doesn't vote until the finals. The judges have determined who's left the show every episode so far.

  • @kickawesomex Thank you :)

  • Comment removed

  • @orangepenguin115 WOW REally?!?!?!?!?!?!?!? I though it was all LIVE!!!

  • @hwillipiddy Yeah because NBC really cares enough about some choir somewhere to steal their dance moves.....

  • 1:05 oh my god Scott <3

  • Ok, the Yellow Jackets are either GI Joe or Starship troopers,

Vocal Point are Matrix or Men in Black (I think the latter)

Delilah are from Black Swan (kudos to the person who found that)

    ...

What movies would the rest be from? Dartmouth Aires in particular look like they're from a specific movie, but I can't place it...

  • @AWorldWithoutTenors i personally think pentatonix is from alice in wonderland...

  • @Cocoagirl24 The new version?

  • 1:23 someone's growl...also the Matrix Guy did a great job in Werewolves in London.....but the camera wasn't on him.

  • @willhalt01 OH MY GOSH!!!!!!! THAT'S MINE!!!!! I didn't even think anyone could hear it, I couldn't even hear it until you pointed it out hahaha YES! Delilah growl FTW

  • @MommaDawn Haha! Great job. Noticed it the first time I watched this, and ever since always try and figure out where it came from. Thought it may have been a rogue mountain lion on stage.

  • Best opening number in the show's history.

Every time I think I have the top 3 groups locked down, 2 other ones throw themselves into the mix.

  • 0:38 to 0:56 Unbelievable! Especially the guy on Urban Method. I wish I could do that with my voice.

  • Last comment from me. How cute did Mike look in the werewolf outfit?

  • OH MY GOD THIS IS THE BEST THING THEY HAVE EVER SANG

  • The rendition of Ghostbusters is even better than the original!

  • The opening numbers just keep getting better <3

  • omg... this is like the a millionth time I have watched this video and I still can't believe how amazing it was!

  • "I ain't afraid of no ghosts! HUH!" *hair flip* <3

  • I would have loved to see Thriller or some Rocky Horror added into this medley... but it was still SO. AMAZING. :D

  • the should have done Thriller

  • Amy's glory note from 2:26 - 2:32...wow...

  • The entire arrangement was brilliant; especially Werewolves In London. Seriously. Listen to the original. Your mind will be blown.

  • also, yeah i'm curious as to how much time they are given between each episode. if they filmed once a week, i'm just absolutely floored. these guys are really good at what they do!

  • @newyolknoise filmed once a week, every friday. it is a lot of work haha

  • @MommaDawn wow, definitely A LOT of work. so sad to see delilah go :c

  • @newyolknoise :( it's all good!!! we had the time of our lives and made some beautiful moments and friendships. thanks for all of your support <3

  • @MommaDawn i vote delilah v.2 for season 4 of the sing off haha. omg i would be SO HAPPY if you guys did this

  • 1:08 did anyone else catch that sick ass laugh in the background chillingly good

  • Looking back at these opening numbers, I'm convinced that The Sing-Off employs some kind of time-bending technology. I just can't believe they only had a week between episodes!

  • As much as I LOVED this opener, I kind of wish they'd just had it take over the whole episode and had them each do a Halloween-type songs. Greedy, yes, but it wouldn't have been that hard to find enough songs for all of them, even taking out the three they used for this number.

  • I was impressed by how they gave themselves over to the "performance" aspect of this. It's so enjoyable watching people with talent actually having fun doing what they do. (Extra kudos, since I believe they filmed the "Halloween" number during the summer.)

  • From the Sing-Off Website:

    Afro-Blue: 20s Gear - Girls as flappers

Yellow Jackets: GI Joe - which are actual costumes from Starship Troopers

Urban Method: Guys - werewolves ... Girls - vampires

Delilah: Black Swan - and two White Swans

  • @hununga No way, is it true they're from Starship Troopers?

My whole family owes me like fifty bucks.

  • @Zbuuza According to NBC.com they are!

    tinyurl dot com slash 3dwovow

  • @hununga nice! my guesses were pretty spot on :D

  • I loved this so much I bought the download on iTunes.

    But whats"This is Halloween" From?

  • @Mattgoot Nightmare Before Christmas

  • @Mattgoot Are you serious? Where the hell was your childhood?

  • I don't know what it is about the Ghostbusters theme that makes it so awesome. Perfect material for a Theme Music Powerup

  • This is the best shit Ive ever heard in my life

  • this was so good!

  • Afro-Blue: 20s flapper girls

    Dartmouth Aires: race car drivers

    Pentatonix: magicians

    Yellow Jackets: army men

    Vocal Point: matrix agent smith?

Urban Method: guys seem to be monster creatures; the girls just look gothish

Delilah: different birds/animals? amy's costume looks like a crow or a swan and ingrid could be an angel or a dove?

  • @newyolknoise yellow jackets look like that army men from starship troopers.

  • Comment removed

  • @newyolknoise Pentatonix: Rocky Horror! The female is dressed as Columbia
