There's no shame on being portuguese. The whole music sceene in Portugal is ruled by this genre, by MTV's Crap like Justin's "Beaver" and Jonas Brothers, and for a whole other lotta crap that people don't want on any other country, like Brasillian music. However, Portugal has given us Moonspell, In Extreme (see Tiago Bettencourt a great guitarrist) and Madredeus who were pretty great. But she probably had a great time doing the video and the song and that's what matters.
