He ionherited it alright but he inherited it from himself. i know that the budget does not come from the White House but from Congress. And Democrats ran Congress--can't remember how many years, but I do know that obama voted for the budget he complained about. Bush was a GREAT president, he did more for this country than a lot of Pres. So i agree.

The "Weapons of Mass Destruction" story was just a half-hearted excuse for the West to invade "legally" and help itself to Iraq's large oil reserves. I'm not one for tin-foil hats and flat Earths, but to honestly believe every word of Bush's story is just naive.

@imjtblanton Because presumably you wouldn't want to get caught. There was an opportunity in Iraq, a pre-formed alibi. Iraq was in a much weaker position than Saudi Arabia and still had massive oil reserves. It was open to invasion and had an excuse ready to go.
That question is akin to asking "Why did you rob the nasty, unpopular middle-class man with a broken leg when you could have robbed the not-bad, heavily armed rich guy that no-one has a quarrel with? You idiot."

We already control Saudi Arabia, so there is no reason to invade it.
Saddam wanted to price his oil in Euros. This was a direct threat to dollar hegemony, which is world-wide taxation using the Federal Reserve system.
Likewise, Gaddafi wanted to price his oil in gold and develop a gold standard for African and Middle Eastern countries to use. The Koran specifically recommends gold for use as money as a matter of fact, to prevent theft through coin-clipping aka dollar printing.
