i've heard in an interview at CNN that vic really went to accompany his friend and he stood somewhere in the dark and they saw him like this and thought that he is perfect for Lei.But seeing him in backstage scenes (especially MARS) laughing and fooling around i don't think that the character Lei was perfect for him.He would always try to be serious and not to laugh when acting as Lei.Mars suits him better i think he entered well in his character.
