@36cheese36 I find the way Maleficent is depicted to be wonderful in its way. She's graceful, beautiful, and somehow imposing and terrifying. Here, her words are rhymed couplets, almost like a little lover's poem describing the beauty of his/her love. She then twists the little poem into something that serves her desires (namely crushing Phillip's spirit and ideals), thereby making it something horrific. I think the rhyming was intentional as it showcases her ability to twist good into evil.

Her presence has that kind of disdainful challenge and seductive mystique that toys and taunts with Philip's incompetence here.
