@merbethmango My mom took us to the city for the weekend of Broadway on Broadway. So Sat. we saw American Idiot at 2, waited at the stage door and met like 6 people. After that we went to eat, but my friend and I went back to the theater and waited for like an hour meetting like 5 other cast memebers, including John. Then after they performed at Broadway on Broadway we went back and waited their to met the rest of the cast. It was really awesome, John promised us to get us dinner. Hahaha(:

I just found out last night that I got orchestra level tickets to go see American Idiot on Tuesday December 21st and since it is a night show, I am hoping to meet him ! Can you tell me where the stage door for American Idiot is and if he will come out that door or another door after the show ?? :D :D

@merbethmango Thats awesome! The stage door is on the right side of the lobby doors. Its right next to the entrance, to where you enter. It says "St. James Theatre Stage Door". Theres another door, on the left side of everything. That sometimes they sneak into. But I'm not to sure who usually goes out that way. But you should be good with meeting him. We saw the matinee, and John said he didn't come out because he took an hour nap before he needed to get ready for the next show.

@lifetimeperformer ahhh i know ! I'm so excited ! I heard that sometimes, after an evening show, John Gallagher Jr likes to go out another door then the rest of the cast. i don't know. I'll have to look into that. and thank you ! :)

Every time i hear John's voice or see anything with him in the video, I start balling. I can't help but wonder why the one person in the show that got a solo Tony, left first. Usually, they are the ones to stay longer. It really saddens me that he is gone. I just hope Blake is a good replacement.

John left because he was planning on doing another show, but they cancelled that show. By the time that John found out, they had already hired a replacement for him. Sad, I know.
