  • Cool!

  • good idea!!! :)) i still didnt understand very well how u adjusted a bigger bottle cap to the bulb..just by turning around tape to increase the size??

  • @flying0angel yes that is exactly what he was doing. : )

  • @xanadu1jw ...Ah!! okayy!! thanks buddy!

  • 1 step- eat the materials

  • if you mute it and and skip in 10 second intervals, it looks like youre teaching us how to make meth and smoke it from a lightbulb. lol

  • molotov anyone?!

  • @Hashbrick112

Yes !Very DANGER ! molotof cocktail like !!!

  • Could you have just used the jones soda bottle? Its the same things as the lightbulb but has its own base and thicker walls..

  • does the fire smells like old socks lol

  • i use old light bulbs as greenhouses for small plants ^_^

  • It's actually called a mol-tav cocktail

  • Its a fancy molotov bomb :D

  • @yumi6365 yes you can use it. I learned from someone else, it wasn't actually my invention

  • do you mind if i do my sciencefair project on this?please reply to yumi6365 a.s.a.p.................

  • @yumi6365 Wtf bro, he doesn't own this thing, kid.

  • nice fire bomb.

  • @themixos19 I was thinking that the whole time! Haha pyroo

  • WOW!!! I'm going to make one right now!! That bulb lamp is pure genius!

  • u can use it as molotov if u want to

  • jones soda <3

  • thanks dude:)

  • theres alot easyer way to make this

  • i thought the washer was an ipod

  • or a bomb

  • Brilliant idea! I will have to try this. I used to make mini terrariums out of hollowed out bulbs. I will have to convert one into a lamp. This should work nicely with olive oil as well.

  • jones soda sucks!!!

  • just were the socks for a few days then it will make it smell lovely

  • hahahahah the soda part made my day, your the man, and thanks by the way.

  • Thanks! Great video. I just saw these on google and thought: "how pretty - I want one!". Now I can have one.

  • Neat!

Also, if the Nazis come through town in their Panzer tanks, you can chuck a few of these "Westinghouse cocktails" down the turret... Poof! "Viva La Resistance"! :-)

  • is there any way i can burn cheaper oil like vegetables oil?thank you nice video

  • @machacoification vegdible oil will work

  • tks nice demo I would have liked to see the lamp burning standing on the table

  • i was waiting for him to touch the light bulb to the top of the oil bottle at the end XD

  • pretty cool.. good tutorial dude.

  • looks very dangerous you can catch on fire with that set up dud .

i would not use it all oil lamps only cost 4 - 7 bucks man if you drop it the bulb will easily brake the oil will easily get on your pants and burn your cox and balls off !!!

  • @GYPSYRICKPA

I appreciate the concern dude. I actually tested out breaking a lit one by dropping it. Once it hit the ground the flame went out and didn't ignite the oil. The oil is not near as dangerous as gasoline, because the oil has to be hotter to ignite than the gasoline. Also, if you drop a match into a cup of oil it will ignite. Regardless safety is important yo :-)

  • Continued: If you get the wick right it burns more efficiently and cleanly. olive oil works as a fuel as well, along with a few other cooking oils. two more tips, use electrical tape instead of masking tape for sealent, it doesn't burn as easilly, and lastly, if you want a cool look to the lamp, you can put colored water on the bottom and the oil on top, it won't effect the lamp's performance, and if you get colored oil this can look really neat.

  • I would like to add this, you can adjust the height of the flame by adjusting the amount of wick that is sticking out. less wick, shorter flame. it looked like you had too much wick sticking out there. if it is smoking there's a good chance you have too much wick. With most lamp oils you want a candle flame like flame that's about an inch tall.

  • AWSOME!!!

  • Nice tutorial man :) I have a different thing to do with a bulb, you can open it and put some stuff like sand, stones, twigs or even a dry butterfly inside, then under the metal cap put a diode, then close it up again and make like a little stand from a coat hanger wire. It makes a nice decoration and at night the stuff inside gets illuminated by that diode.

  • @kalasnikov47

That sounds great dude, you should totally put together a video on it!

  • Thanks see mine

  • thanx!

  • Thank you Ben I enjoyed this very much.

  • Good tutorial. Me and my dad made one for fun a few minutes ago haha.
