i'm all for bands progressing and finding new envelopes to push. Emperor progressed, Enslaved have progressed, Ulver...just can't even be called metal anymore really. I can't even describe it. However, I fully respect the older material and always will!!

Not really, as both Orchid and Bergtatt were recorded in the same year. They probably influenced eachother, but I wouldn't say either band ripped the other one off.

Ulver is by far one of the most diverse and talented bands to date! im not a fan of their later stuff, as im not a fan of that genre, but i still highly respect what they have done, and i love their version of Black Sabbath's Solitude. i give them mad props for their accomplishments. their black metal?well... Mayhem don't got shit on Ulver. i kinda hope to see the old Ulver again some day, although It'll probably never happen. but kudos anyway
