How do you usually mic and mix acoustic guitar to get a good sound like this? If you only use one mic, where do you pan it in the mix so it fills both channels nicely? How important is stereo micing?
That is a really cool EQ!! Cool song too!! What type of EQ was that? What are some good compression settings for acoustic guitar rhythm guitar tracks?
When i was using Cubase i used to record from the guitar pre amp and use a mic` simultaniusly to two seperate tracks! I found it usefull to use different FX on each track or keep one track clean and the other effected and so on ! Havent started using Pro Tools yet as i just got it and i still need to get a external hard drive(getting one this week though) ! Do you ever try this on Pro Tools? Great vids by the way ! Peace Ye`all !
What kind of guitar are you using? Any tips on a good recording guitar cheaper than Taylors! Am using a mojave ma-200, focusrite liquid channel pre, have waves and logic. Thx
I actually guessed you did not add highs, def no Chorus cause this is 2010 ha, and compression i could hear also.
Out of this all man, i love the song. Very good. Just caught the electric right at the end of the clip, very good blend. Where do i hear this whole song Jo?
My understanding is that cutting the low end is equivelant to boosting the high end (assuming shape of eq is same), the only difference being prefader level. Thoughts?
Thank you for the video. THe compression is clearly heard. The finished mastering example in the sounded very good. The SSL eq plugin seems very easy to use and intuitiv. I use izotop mastering plugins with sony sound forge and T-racks 3 with pro tools.

The song sounds incredible. Can't wait for your album.
I know this comment doesn't have to do much with the actual purpose of the video, but I'm a musician, so I'm psyched to hear your album.
