Wow, what a moving video of your father / grandfather. Although I never had a chance to meet "Mr. Joe", It is obvious he inspired many people around him. God Bless his Family. And yes, Eventually all the links of the chain will be one again. Hold on to all of your memories. R.I.P. "Mr. Joe".
this is a great video and tribute. Your father/grandfather is an inspiration. I started running the NYC marathon while still fighting an illness and continued running it for many years. For a while, I thought I could die running the race, but I thought it's better than some ways to run right into heaven, with applauding crowds around u. :) I hope that's not inappropriate. I heard this story after the race and was very sad, but your video puts his inspiration into context. Thank you.
Absolutely beautiful video. Joe's daughter Suzanne is my professor, and though I never had the pleasure of meeting him, I can see that he will continue to live on. I'm so sorry for your loss. May he rest in peace.
What a touching and very fitting memorial to a man with great strength. Although I only met you a handful of times, Mr. Joe, you touched my heart and the hearts of my family. May you rest in peace.
Paul and Andrew,I am sitting here with tears streaming down my face. Thank you for posting this. I am so sorry we all lost Uncle Joey. He taught all of us a lot. He taught me how to play chess and his advice was "Always Attack". I told Peter's team about Mr Joe right before Friday nights game and they played their most inspired game.I like to think he was sitting in God's stands with Grandpa, Uncle Chippy, Uncle Pat, and Uncle Dom, cheering.
