I was there at that race (very hot day). 0:43 min. of the video shows a caution (from the big turn 2 crash). Gordon is right, Ambrose was wrong + at 0:50 you see another caution. I paid $140 for a ticket to see that race NOT, NOT for Gordon to intentionally crash Ambrose on the re-start. That's not racing, it's roller derby.

Bottom line- the field was frozen when the caution came out- before Robby got spun. So he should have been able to maintain his position even after Ambrose spun him. Now for the excuse that he didn't maintain proper speed- he was sideways on the track with oncoming traffic up his ass and a wall infront of his nose. He could not pull out into line without driving into the wall or wrecking oncoming traffic. Bogus call by Nascar!

Gordon made comments the next day that make sense. The way the bogus NASCAR rules are, you can take out the guy in front of you under yellow and gain the spot. What's the purpose of freezing the field if you can get taken out under caution. And DUMB move by NASCAR to ever restart the race with Gordon in the wrong position. If they were worried about running out of laps why not red flag the field and make Gordon leave the track if he wasn't taking the black flag.

a lot of people don't like these commentators, but given the popularity of NASCAR in america, networks spend a lot of money on putting on a good show. in my opinion, there hasn't been a bad commentator in nascar since the '70s. however, i do think formula one, for example, is miles (kilometers?) ahead of NASCAR in terms of commentators, as NASCAR these days just puts as many people in the booth as will fit.

Look at 4:30. The Official is waving the yellow flag, Gordon is 1st Ambrose 2nd. Ambrose spins Gordon after the yellow has been out for several seconds. Unless Nascar changed the rules again, the field is frozen after a yellow. What a crock.

Yes but take all the factors into account. Ambrose was right on Robby's bumper racing hard when the caution came out. Robby slowed, Ambrose didn't have time to react. Robby even said in his interview that he was spun because he slowed down.

Now I'm not being a fanboy at all in this. I believe that Robby Gordon should've restarted in second at worst. If that had've happened, then we probably would've had a good, clean race to the finish.
