I've been dying to find this album on CD but it seems totally impossible. I would love to have a deluxe version of any versions of any songs in this album. Maybe 2012 DELUXE VERSION???
@MrTonedeff ahh big love allround yeh i agree 'in her day' oo er though i never stopped likeing her even thru all the AIDS nonsense ps Barbra Streisand and Donna did 'another' song together - any 1 info? there was the 'complete sessions' bootleg on ebay the quality of the mp3 s ive heard is 'dross' tho some one tell her 2 sing an lp in german! or to paris in french no?
@MURPHNSPUD i agree totally it,s 30th anniversary is next year and it,s still sounding cool! jeff porcaro on drums, steve lukather on rhythm guitar (toto) and ernie watts assuming the big mans role on sax RIP clarence! donna can out sing most of todays so called divas and in her day was far sexier!
Last time I checked Donna Summer was disco. Both my parents told me disco sucks. But this sounds like rock n roll and it's awsum. I prefer Bruce's version better i think he sings it better
Donna Summer is one of my favorite singers, such a terrific and powerful voice, singing a song written by another of my favorite singers (Springsteen). I would love to hear the duet recording of the two. Talk about a powerful song that would have been.
Bruce originally wrote "Cover Me" for Donna Summer, but then Bruce's camp felt like Bruce should release that song himself. So he then wrote this one for Summer. You can see the similarities between the 2 songs. I would love to hear her do "Cover Me".
The same thing happened when Stevie Wonder wrote "Superstition" for Jeff Beck & then released it himself. BUT in that case I believe Beck did eventually record "superstition" too. As did Stevie Ray Vaughan.

This album is long overdue for a CD reissue. They can also include as bonus tracks the two "Love Is In Control" remixes from the 12".

Pure class can this lady do anything wrong?...
I have just "re-found" her Virgin Mary track after a very long time.
This is just brilliant and often use it on my radio show, Sringsteen and Summer,
How good is that??

Love this song. It was written by Bruce Springsteen. This should have been released as a single. The queen & the boss! Awesome!

even without hearing him
