They came back with the knowledge it costs less and give more quality output to do things right the first time instead of rework which Americans took no thought of. They came back with the knowledge it costs less and give more quality output to do things right the first time instead of rework which Americans took no thought of. I beg to differ, everything displayed here is true & factual. The USSR never embarked on such a "massive build up of arms during the 80s" that was trumpeted then! Its build up was certainly big, but greatly exaggerated! It was just seen as a thorn in the backside, a fork in the road, that needed to be removed once & for all, not that it ever overtook the US in terms of its arms program!

Obama and liberal congress has raised our national debt to over 9 trillion in just 3 months, more money than all the presidents combined and more debt than all the wars combined, and hardly any of it has gone to create permanent jobs or stimulate the economy. They have violated govt's. limited powers by encroaching on private enterprises and the peoples' liberties. Govt. has no legal authority to do what they are doing but they are making the economy worse. It is socialism in the making.

I believe when Clinton left office the deficit was fairly low with a $230 billion surplus. Bush turned that surplus into a $6 trillion deficit. Obama accounts for a I believe $2-3 trillion deficit spending thus far. Bush left with a 1 trillion debt, which part was signed by congress to pay for 2 wars to keep us safe. Since he left office, that amount has gone to more than 9 trillion and counting, mostly because the stimulus bill was mostly pork fat that only made the economy worse due to the fact that hardly was spent on permanent jobs or saving the economy. It went instead to insane and unnecessary projects, as payback to constituents, special interest groups and sciences. Google PORK IN THE STIMULUS BILL.

where did you get that information? because it's wrong. There were several stimulus packages that were under Bush's term that didn't do anything, especially the one last year which was nothing more than a government handout which really didn't make a difference to the average consumer. Define pork? because some people have taken certain projects in the package as wasteful spending and they actually weren't, like study of fruit flies, volcano monitoring, study of pig poo... read into it more.

The study of friut flies or anything else was misappropriated for THIS CERTAIN BILL that was exclusively for creating jobs and stimulating the economy during an emergency. The FBI had info on terror cells, which they were not given authority to make arrests, and the CIA had run out of resources. After 9/11 they worked to give the FBI more authority and CIA more resources. Had nothing to do with Iraq investigations.

@gritzschke Clinton used Reagonomics by lowering taxes. But then, Clinton brought out the Recovery Act which Carter started but made it more striingent and abusive which forced banks to make loans to people who couldn't afford them. It all came to a head in 2008.

I saw the video where the housing Authority Director, in a hearing with Housing oversight Committee, complained that Fannie and Freddie were cooking the books. Conservatives called for an investigation and oversight, which the liberals balked at, claiming nothing was wrong with those agencies. 4 years later, those agencies crashed, causing a domino effect. Turned out, some of those liberals were getting kickback $ for turning a blind eye to it. So dont blame anyone except libs and crooked CEOs.

Carter left Reagan a 7.1% unemployment rate. Reagan drove that rate up to 9.6% in his first term before bringing it down to 5.5% in time to hand off to Bush(41). Bush(41) ran it back up to 7.5% before handing it off to Clinton. Clinton brought it back down to 4.0% before handing it off to Bush(43) - who of course like any good Republican ran it right back up to where it is today. information can be tracked to the US Bureau of Labor Statistics.
