i dnt even bother looking in mirrors cuz i hate wat i see...my whole teenage years are being ruined by low self esteem and ppl say im pritty but i know its a lie
wow i feel really happy after watching this! and i think it's amazing that you made a video to help people, there is so many hate video's on youtube that it puts me off using it but this has changed my opinion :) :)
Hmmm, the one. Well it's all relative. I am happily married 3 years now to someone else and ultimately I don't think he was the one. I just thought so at the time and perhaps he was at the time. As we grow and change, so do our needs and hopefully our understanding of the world and of ourselves. If you are with the right person and invest in good communication between you, you end up growing together. Glad the vid motivated you. Thanks for letting me know.
Iv recently found myself stuck in life this past few months but Im going to take your advice, make a list and see where it takes me. It wouldnt hurt to try :) thanx
That is so cool. I love it when content I make for the web, finds its way into in- person conversation. I am curious, do you mind saying what university or other institution? See now you have me very curious. I am actually planing a follow up to this video.
Re your comment about the list: List making is a great tool for clearing your mind and revealing things that you didn't know you were associating until you do a brain dump. This is a very common technique in professional psychology. Also what works for one person doesn't necessarily work for another but that doesn't make it invalid. If you don't think you want to make lists, then don't make them. If other people find it helpful, why criticize?
There are a lot of people who have written to me saying that the insights I have into my personal development that I have shared with others through the videos I have made, make a difference to them. So no I don't think its wrong to want other people to know about how I feel I have helped myself if it helps them too.
Wonderful and inciteful... you remind me of myself... a very sad young person...VERY -- and a ahppy adult-- and it really has everything to do with going after what you want and need!
You are absoluely wonderful! The list, is an excellent idea that hits home for me right now...that being said, I have posted numerous comments tonight, and only once (on one of your vids) did it say "you have recently made"... has something changed? :) I hope so! Thank you much for your videos! :)
I am so glad you have found this helpful | When I did my list I just wrote down everything that came to mind, I didn't censor myself until after I had nothing left that I could think of | Then I edited it
You should feel happy when you see yourself, it sure makes us happy to hear you express your thoughts. Glad you're generous with your smiles, you've got a great one. Thanks Bonnie and Happy Holidays to you!
Another terrific video, Bonnie. 72 things, eh? Glad to see you did the "list reduction" and got down to one! But then, of course, you cheated, 'cause the one you ended up with assumed about 50 of the others! (I'm sure some were purely cosmetic!) At a certain point in my life...I'm not really sure when...the overall direction just locked in and the work was in the day-to-day of it. When that happens, you still screw up, but almost never fundamentally.
Thanks for the feedback. Sorry it took me so long to respond. I do hope you like the rest of the videos I make. I am kind of stuck right now on what to make next since I have so many things I want to say, but I want to say them in a watchable way. Which for me means under 5 min.
great vid. I'm 42 now but in my 30's I stopped caring what every last person was thinking about me...it's just counter intuitive to hold yourself hostage to the random ideals of others. I mean, it's important to empathize, but not at the expense of reality.
Thanks for comment. I actually think that's a good topic for another video. I.e., does creating your own self image and living up to it, make you not care what others think?
I really enjoyed your video. I've recently subscribed to the same philosophy for my life. Granted, it was only a few months ago, and it has not been easy. That said I can see the light of happiness at the end of the tunnel. I've recently ended a 6 yr marriage because my x wanted a life of misery, and was unwilling to take that first step to making life better. I wish he could comprehend your message, but he won't. Thank you very much for sharing. Your message will help many people!
I have posted a reply to your comment 3 times over 5 days, but it never takes. Each time my comment gets shorter and shorter and more summary. So I guess at this point I will say. You go girl! You are not alone.
I agree with your post (maybe coffee when I next get to bay area - foot willing), because the one thing I am starting to miss, is not seeing someones face while I am talking and having them interject ideas. I like reading expressions, I feel expression deprived. And I guess interjection deprived.
Thank you for saying all that. That means a lot coming from you (I recommend anyone who sees this comment to watch your three part cancer series). You are inspiring.
I thought you did just fine with the script. Personally I often use either scripts or very rough outlines. Otherwise I'd have to do 10 takes of everything. Heck I do 2 or 3 anyway.

its so sad what happened to you with "the one"
but i think youve got to be thankful
